Best Hardware for After Effects

Hi,

I'm working more and more with After Effects, but recently I've been experiencing several issues:

- Audio is not in sync with the clip

-L ow performance, especially when working in 3D

- Long export times

What can I upgrade in my hardware to improve performance?

Current Hardware:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12-Core, ~3.7 GHz)

RAM: 64 GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB VRAM)

Windows 11

Many thanks in advance.

Sven

The problem here is that old AMD AM4 platform that does not perform well in After Effects. It (in particular, the Ryzen 9 5950X) scored less than half as much as a newer CPU platform even with the most powerful GPU on the market due to its chipset I/O bottlenecking.

The only way to improve that performance is, I'm very afraid to tell you, would be to get an entirely new CPU platform with a newer-generation CPU, a new motherboard and new RAM.

Are you using the recommended STUDIO driver, or the 'usual default' Gaming driver?

I'm not 100% sure, but I guess Gaming/Creative

nVidia Driver Downloads https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us to find the Studio driver for your model card
