Hello Everyone,

I'm going to build a video editing PC. Will the GTX 1660 SUPER D6 6GB GDDR6 Graphics Card work with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro CC 2022?  I don't know anything about Graphics Cards for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro CC. Please let me know if you can assist me with purchasing a graphics card.

Thanks.

It's a good starting point if that's all you can afford right now. However, as you begin to tackle more demanding 4k and higher-rez video in the near future, you may wish for greater GPU power and more graphics card VRAM.

Also, which CPU and how much system RAM will your system have? If you go with too much CPU - in fact, so much that you have only enough money in your budget for a cheap GPU, then that GPU may bottleneck your CPU.

And one last thing: If you end up spending too much money on a CPU to begin with, that will demand a more powerful (and more expensive) GPU in order for the performance between the CPU and the GPU to be balanced. In my experience, when I put together my current 12th-Gen Intel i7-12700K system, my then-new system was bottlenecked somewhat because I had carried over a GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER from my previous build over to my i7 rig. I lived with it for nearly a year before I decided to upgrade to a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti - and as it turned out, I needed the 4070 Ti just for the GPU to be performance-balanced with my system's CPU. I then donated my 2060 SUPER to my brother's system (which now has a 4th-Gen Ryzen 5 5600X CPU in it).

On the other hand, if your system's CPU is too weak or too cheap, then your system will not utilize a higher-end GPU to its fullest. In other words, in this case, the CPU will be the weakest link.
