I'm not one of the hardware experts.

I can tell if something won't work, but I can't say for sure what will work.

Hopefully, Bill Gehrke or RjL190365 will join the discussion.

Here i am Peru Bob!

  1. You definitely need a second SSD. Use a SATA III SSD for your OS/Applications and use your Samsung 960 EVO for your current project and media.  Once you complete the project move it and the associated media to you hard disk drive to make way for your next project.
  2. Do not go cheapie on the power supply, that is only rated bronze, go for a gold rated power supply
  3. Immediately turn off the Asus LED lighting on that Motherboard, it just steals CPU cycles and do a tuning job to get rid of every other unneeded process/program.
  4. Go to my CPU PPBM test results and find the CPU test score for that Ryzen 7 1700 (253 seconds).  When you test your new computer with PPBM see what you get for that test.
  5. If you are money limited you could drop back from your GTX 1070 to a GTX 1060 6 GB to afford the above changes.

Ok that was a good suggestion.

So, will add one more SSD for projects alone, may be a 480GB SSD.

And just use a 120GB SSD for OS and applications.

About the CPU and graphics card, the two which I have stated are good to go ?

I got the quotes already and money is not a problem. So, if you recommend this is a good config, I will just go ahead and order it.
