Hello,
Asus PRIME Z790-A WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard Not good with i9 you will receive the "Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource", go for ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO LGA1700 ATX
Seagate Barracuda Compute 8 TB 3.5" 5400 RPM Internal Hard Drive, I'll go with SSDs instead of HDD big difference!
Zotac GAMING Trinity GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB Video Card try to get Asus, MSI, Galax!

thank you for your reply. I have never heard of that error does it come up for Premiro pro? is it common or a rare one. Because that mother board you mentioed costs double the money. Did you have another MOBO you can recommend that is a similar price.

what about the Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite X it looks like good value half as much as the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS

It's coming for any mid range motherboards:

In my opinion, the MSI MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI I or II if not the Asus Dark Hero.

The out of memory error might be related to the i9 CPUs crashing in some games with many motherboards' default settings. The problem stems from most consumer motherboards completely ignoring Intel's published power limits by leaving all power limits unlocked by default with K-series CPUs. This, in turn, causes many of the motherboards overvolting and over-currenting the CPUs.
The recommended fix is to set the BIOS on the motherboard to enforce all power limits (which, in the case of the i9-14900K, sets the limit for both PL1 and PL2 to 253W). Additionally, you may want to further limit the PL1 by manually setting it to 125W.
That should solve most of the stability problems.

As an update to this situation, it appears that a growing number of 13th- and 14th-Gen Intel CPUs have been suffering stability issues even at the motherboard default (or "stock") settings. This list is expanded to include the locked 65W PL1 parts as well.
As a result of this reliability issue, I am withholding my recommendation for all 13th- and 14th-Gen Intel CPUs for the foreseeable future. Yes, even for video editing. Unfortunately, AMD is not an ideal substitute for these affected Intel CPUs as they perform no better overall than a comparable-performance Intel F- or KF-SKU CPU (the version that has the IGP permanently disabled during manufacture).

By @Toxos
That's for the backup drive, so it may not make a difference in performance.

If it's for backup only it's fine I guess, anyway my PCI SSD gives 345% better results than the Normal HDD so I switched all mine to SDDs

iv scrubbed the Internet for more info and no reports for this Z790 Aorus Elite x and the error. and the error probably occurs in less then 1% of people with mid range boards. so its hard to justiy paying double the cost.

The Z790 Aorus Elite x paired with the Intel Core i9-14900K is a powerhouse! I recently built a PC using this combination, and it's performing exceptionally well. With its robust features, stability, and top tier performance, it's definitely a winning combination for your next build.

If you want to go with a mid range motherboard it's ok you can do that but it's better to get the I9 12900 in that case

How many and where are the cooling fans?
My case https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Gaming-Computer-THOR-V2-W/dp/B005XUAAP2 has a grill in the side panel where I installed a 200mm fan that blows air onto the motherboard for extra cooling... in addition to the 120mm fan in the front of the case

If the motherboard supports it, I'd up the RAM to between 128GB and 192GB.
For the Media Cache, 4TB or larger NVMe SSD.

iv never heard that. why 4tb for the cache when you can just delete it ?

1TB or 2TB works, too, but you can spend time on multiple projects and never think about it or you can spend time clearing it.

How did you go with this build? Do you know if any of the 2.5" drive areas can be changed to 3.5"?
I'm hoping to fit 6x 3.5"HDDs
Cheers
