Unsupported Video Driver - NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800

Hi,

 

Premiere Pro tells me my video driver, NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800, is an unsupported Video Driver.

If your hardware IS still supported...

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

Sorry, but that FX 5800 is now long obsolete. Nvidia had completely ended all support for that GPU and all other Tesla-architecture GPUs way back in 2015, with the very last driver ever released being version 342.00 (released October 27, 2016). Current versions of Premiere Pro now require a driver that's dated later than August 2020 in order to be compatible at all. And these newer drivers are now completely incompatible with that FX 5800 (it will not even install at all).

If your hardware IS still supported...

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

In other words, your GPU is now completely incompatible with any currently obtainable version of Premiere Pro no matter what.
