Will my HP 15Z work with Premier?

Hey guys, I'm an artist with little technical wherewithal. I'm just learning now. My footage and edits look good but now wanna learn big boy tools. Will I be able to easily use it on my HP 15Z?? I just listened to the sales person but realize that may have been a mistake. I'm willing to do what I need to to save money but still be able to use PP. I'll only use the laptop for video editing and that's it. Right now I'm just using footage from my S9+ but will eventually upgrade. I just wanna be able to learn all the tools I can. Would love some specific help!

What are the complete hardware specs of your 15z? Which CPU? Which storage? Which display? How much RAM?

It does not meet minimum hardware requirements for Premiere Pro, especially in the display resolution. Premiere Pro requires a 1280 x 800 display - but the 1366 x 768 display does not meet that minimum requirement. The smaller dimension is only 768 pixels - below the 800 that's required. As a result, some of the critical portions of the Premiere Pro interface will become permanently inaccessable. In the worst cases, you may not be able to do any exporting at all whatsoever because you cannot access the part of the window where the critical buttons are located.

As a result, the only way that you can run Premiere Pro properly would be to connect an external HDMI monitor to that laptop - but then, that completely defeats the primary purpose of a laptop to begin with. And this situation will only become worse: Future versions of Premiere Pro will require a Full HD (1920 x 1080) monitor to even run at all.

Thank you so much. I'll look to upgrade. I was trying to spend only what was needed to run Premier Pro. I'll do some more research. Also, I'm open to suggestions. If the screen were the only issue I'd spend what was needed to resolve that. I'm hoping their aren't too many underlying issues with this laptop running PP if so I'm happy to step up. Trying to go just the steps needed though. I'm so thankful to hear back! Seriously, thanks

That Pavilion 15z can be customized at the time of your order. It neeeds two upgrades to run even minimally acceptably: A CPU upgrade to a Ryzen 7 3700U with Vega 10 graphics, and a FHD (1920 x 1080) display. Both of those options add $130 to the price.

And why am I recommending the 3700U over the 3500U? Simple. The 3500U's Vega 8 graphics is one of the very worst performers in Premiere Pro - in fact, so glacially sluggish that you might as well have no GPGPU acceleration at all whatsoever (that is, you might as well have only software rendering). The Vega 10 GPU is a bit better. But neither of those integrated GPUs performs as well in Premiere Pro as even an integrated Intel UHD Graphics that is in a budget Intel CPU-based laptop.

Thank you!! I'm happy to make whatever upgrades or get a better machine. The more folks share the more behind I realize I am in my technical wherewithal. I'm open to buy whatever the most budget friendly version of whatever HP that would allow me to run Premier
