I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Video Hardware forum so that proper help can be offered.

The processor does not have hyperthreading, so only 8 cores.

What type of media will you be editing?

Will you be using any third party effects?

After Effect with Element 3D.  Video right now is 1080, but possibly will need to edit 4k video in the near future.  I also need it to run Pro Tools for music projects... and finally will be building 3d models with Blender. Thanks again for your help.

For 4K, you will want 8 core with hyperthreading and may still need to use proxies.

"How can I tell if a processor has Hyperthreading?"

Go to the web site of the manufacturer of the processor:

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/190885/intel-core-i7-9700kf-processor-12m-cache...

Peru Bob,

I scratched the ProSpec build... now I am looking at this build with an i-9 Processor and a better Graphics Card... can you give me you opinion on this Computer for the Adobe CC apps please?  Thank you for your help!

Computer build at MicroCenter... can this Run Adobe CC Apps smoothly... Also Davinci Resolve?

I am considering this computer to run Adobe Premiere, After Effects.  I am hoping to add 16GB of Ram if possible for a total of 32GB of ram.  I use 1080 video now, but I will need to produce 4k video as well.  I may need to use Davinci Resolve, Element 3D and Blender as well.  Can this computer handle this type of work load smoothly.  Thanks very much!

As I replied on another thread that mentions that particular HP model (which was another discussion that you started), everything looks OK except for the fact that HP has effectively and permanently disabled the integrated Intel UHD Graphics on all of its desktop systems that have a discrete GPU installed. In the case of that Obelisk system, it has no motherboard-based video outs at all, and it completely lacks any provision in the BIOS to force-enable the integrated graphics (which is REQUIRED just to even enable QuickSync at all). That effectively, and completely, defeats the primary purpose of buying a mainstream-platform Intel CPU-based PC for video editing these days.
