Shockwave Flash Object

When I download the new Flash Player, everything appears to be OK, files appear to be in the correct place and registry looks fine. The only problem I can find is when I go to C:/WINDOWS/Downloaded Program Files, right-click to look at the properties on the 'Shockwave Flash Object' and select the Dependency tab, it says File Name - * and Size - Damaged.

Does anyone have any idea how I can correct this problem, or which file this object should be dependent on.

My PC is running Windows XP and IE 7. I also have Shockwave 10 installed.

I'm trying to play videos on the website www.CMT.com, and I don't think it's a website problem as I can watch them on my laptop (running Windows XP, IE 6 and Flash Player 8). On my laptop there is a file listed in the Shockwave Flash Object dependency tab, but I can't work out yet what it is as the file path isn't all shown in full.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as this problem is driving me up the wall.

Also does anyone know how I can contact Adobe for support direct? I tried a link through this website a few days ago and got an e-mail back to say that the e-mail address was no longer in use!!!

It's exactly the same thing for me.
Have you find any solution to correct this problem.

    Thanks

I spent absolutely ages trying to solve this, and eventually I did manage to sort it out on my PC.

I would love to be able to tell you exactly how I did this, but the truth is that I don't know!

I kept uninstalling and reinstalling the Flash Player and the Shockwave Player and one day it just worked. I can't remember if I did anything different on that attempt or not.

I also went to www.java.com and downloaded the upto date software from that site. I also can't remember if it worked before updating the java software or if that was the final key,

Sorry I can't be of any more help, but if I could explain it I promise you I would.
