How to preserve fonts when generating PDF

Hello Community,

We have a docx document template that use two fonts, Anybody ExtraExpanded and Gotham (Book and Medium weights). We are aware and have tried both options to save the font with the document (the entire font definition AND 'only what is used'). Neither option preserves the Gotham font once the document is processed by Adobe DC. It will substitute the Gotham font with Calibri which is not desirable. The Anybody ExtraExpanded font is preserved with no issue.

  • How can we add support for the Gotham font to be preserved in the DC?
  • Is there a list of currently supported fonts that will be preserved for reference?

Regards,

Johan

docx문서는 아크로뱃 프로에서 불러올 수 없습니다.

    어떤 프로그램에서 어떤 형식으로 저장했나요?

Hi - I must not be asking my question correctly. I am talking about Document Cloud. We have an API which uploads a Docx merge template to Adobe Document Cloud. The template contains the formatting (colors, fonts, tables, conditional statements to show/hide certain text, etc). This template is set up with the Anybody and Gotham fonts. However, when Document Cloud API returns the finished PDF with the merged data the Gotham font sections are now Calibri. We've had similar issues with other fonts as well... it would be great to understand which fonts are supported natively and how to possibly add fonts to the API service so that we can retain the formatting.
