Lightroom classic crashes 14.0.1

hi,

very unfortunately I've updated LRC from V13 to V14.0.1 on the weekend. If I try to import pictures it may work with up to a single digit number but it's not working if I select a couple of directories (in total 50 pictures etc...). If I do so the system comes to a hold. After canceling the the task a message box comes up in saying "no pictures found".

Stopping LRC lead to the situation that I can't restart it .... The MS taskmanager is full of similiar Adobe tasks when doing so but nothing is progressing.

Only when booting the PC I'm able to start LRC again.

I'm working on Windows 10 most current update.
