Hi there,

1- When you launch Acrobat, does it freeze without opening any file? If not, then without opening a file navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security(Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>Reboot Acrobat.

2- Open PDF, does it hangs again?

3- Reset Acrobat's preferences https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082?page=1

4- If yes, then use cleaner tool to remove the application: https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html?22 

Install Acrobat DC again .
