Still not getting notifications on responses to my email address. I have to come here and check. The settings here have it right and my email is correct for receiving notifications and should be getting notifications there. Why no notifications? I used to get them and then they stopped for some reason.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Do you know why we cant add Text or the T to the main tool bar. It is a pain to have to keep opening the comments bar to add text every time. Too bad we cant add other comment icons there. Too many tool bars in my opinion. Give users ability to add more icons to that main bar. Guess i need to suggest that to Adobe.

Yeah it is the same email. it is the email that i have for this account. I am not getting any alerts anyway to any of my emails. It isnt working. And the other comment is about that line thickness icon. that icon only changes thickness in the circles that are from FILL & SIGN. It does nothing to circles created from the Comments Tool bar. So it does alter the circle or shape from the FILL & SIGN tool bar, BUT.... it only toggles very thin or very thick. Only 2 results, yet that icon has all those line thicknesses..just strange and shouldnt show all those thicknesses. Not sure who chose that icon.

When i add a sticky note it works fine, but the actual sticky note icon that is added is too big sometimes. It cant be adjusted and it covers other things sometimes. The actual note can be adjusted, but i cant adjust that icon where it is source from. WOuld be nice to be able to shrink that or give it an opaque factor or something. Also, it is odd that the right side menu has a choice there for Comment tool bar and there is a sticky note type icon for that. Weird choice. I would also add the T or Text icon to the main tool bar. It is a pain to always have to open the comments toolbar to add text. That should be in the main bar and i would use a different little icon for Comment tool bar, not the same as the sticky note.

This did not answer my question so it is not a correct answer for this. My email notification is set to ON , but i still never get any notifications to my email address. I only notice stuff when i come in to the forum. i have to remember to come back. It hasnt worked for a while. I already knew about the settings and preferences, but it doesnt work.

You could go through the tool buttons and find the one with lines. I inserted the photo there. Anyway, remember to first add a circle from the Fill and Sign tool and then click this. it toggles between a thin line and thick line unlike what that button shows. Weird that they show all those levels of thickness.

ok, thanks. True, i can open that and use that in a click, but then that pane covers part of the PDF. So is that really more efficient, not really. I just want a button to open the comments and not cover part of PDF. oh well, it is a First World Problem. Just gets frustration as it is not super user-friendly as it should be. Not a big fan of extra steps and clicks. I am a one-click person. thanks though.

Actually, first you need to use Fill and sign tool and add a Circle or it is more of a flattened circle. add that to the page. Then go to that button i talked about... the display line weights. All it does is thin out the lines. it is either really thin or really thick. The button picture makes it look like there are more levels. Deceiving.

Look at the tool bar.. find the Display line weights button there. Hover over all the buttons to find it. It shows 4 types of lines, but when you click it it only thickens 2 different levels.

So this line weighting toggle button only does 2 thicknesses... one is super thin and one is super thick. Wonder why this button has multiple levels of thickness. that is deceiving. This needs to be improved. There are only 2 choices there... barely see the line or wayyy too thick line.

Just curious, how come there are fewer choices after Adding Text vs Adding text box. When i just add text to the pdf, i cant put it in Italics. If I add it with the text box, i can and have more options. Why? i want to add text without the box and have italics or whatever else that the text box gives you. Please add those capabilities.

Is there any way to add some of the Comments tools or buttons to the main editing bar? I always have to click Tools, then comments to get the ability to add text. Better if i had one button for Text in the main tool bar, but no way to add it. Only thing i have is that text bubble thing. Why cant we have the T or Text button in that main bar?

Ok, so i figured out the answer and this is what i probably should've been told: I need to sign out. So i click on that down arrow next to what could be my photo here. Then i choose sign out. That takes me to the sign in screen. I think i can change the password there.

How can i get an email notification when a question I ask is answered? This used to do it, but seems that it doesnt happen anymore. It is not getting blocked either so no need to ask that. I used to get email when someone responded, now i dont and i forget that i asked a question sometimes.

Desktop. Adobe Reader DC. It is how i said it, but i can type out the steps.... So select TOOLS, then COMMENT, then click the PENCIL, then select a color from the palette. Then you will notice the palette stays open so you have to click off of it. When you click out of it on another part of screen , it will leave a dot of that color. This needs to be fixed. The palette box should disappear after selection or you should click save and it should then go away... then i can go to the pdf without that palette display still covering part of pdf. it just needs a little work there to finish it. Also, how do i get notified when you respond? I am not getting emailed, but i used to get emailed or notified. Do you know how to set that so that i can get notified when you answer?

So i noticed this is kind of a nuisance. When i use the pallete board to select a color, i select it and then that pallete doesnt close. There is no save either so i click off of it to make it go away and it then leaves a dot in that color on the PDF. please fix that so that after we select a color the board disappears or there is a save button and it closes. It isnt enough as is. Needs work there. Then i can save and click where i want.

For me it was the Tools panel. Click that and then click comment. That is the path. Found it now. I rarely edit PDFs so this is newer to me.

i dont think i have an ADD TEXT tool there. and i cant underline either. i just downloaded this like a week or 2 ago too so it is latest version of Adobe Reader. i guess i need the pay version. I dont see any ADD COMMENT tool. i had said i already know how to add the sticky note. That isnt what i want. I want to add text on top of the PDF. Also i wish it was easier to choose the highlight color , but i guess being in PDF format it makes things more difficult and many more steps.
