Sadly, this annoying feature now also appears in PSE 2026, with apparently no option to turn it off. I've had to retrain myself to use undo/redo rather than click a layer on and off to decide if I like what I did in that layer. Otherwise there is a host of "Layer Visibility" layers that must also be deleted (they don't even disappear when you directly delete the layer that they were referring to!).

That would be very disappointing, the "Layer Visibility" did not appear on the History panel in PSE 2024 or PSE 2018.

I would like to prevent the History panel from showing the "Layer Visibility" in the list of history activity. An online search says that I can simply uncheck it in the History Options from the menu in the upper corner of the panel, but I cannot find these options. The menu in the upper right corner of my History box provides a few unrelated items, but no link to any custom Options. I am using Photoshop Elements 2026 on Windows 11.

I need help finding a way to show the ruler by default on all documents that I open in Adobe Acrobat XI Standard (11.0.23). When I go to Preferences>Units and Guides, there is no option for this even though I have seen that as the recommendation. I know about ctrl+r, but find it disappointing that this requires repeated manual operation for software as complex (and expensive) as Adobe Acrobat. Thanks, Tom

Thanks, I downloaded WinDirStat, very interesting. Seems to be showing that I'm only using 9% of my C-Drive, even though when I click on the C-Drive properties in File Explorer that shows I'm using about 40%.

I want to install Adobe DNG Converter to my D-Drive. My C-Drive is a smaller SSD that I am trying to keep primarily for my operating system, so I try to install everything else to the D-Drive. However, when installing the Adobe Digital Negative Converter (an image file converter), it never pauses to allow me to select Drive-D as is typical for most installers, it just proceeds to install on the C-Drive. If you've had experience with this type of installation issue, I would appreciate some advice. Thanks, Tom

Premiere Elements 2018 apparently does not have a video noise reduction option to reduce grainy video. I'm aware that NeatVideo has a plugin for purchase, but would like to know if there is an open source plugin to reduce grainy video noise?

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 2018. I want to reduce video noise in a clip. The instructions say to go to Advanced Adjustments and select the Reduce Noise option, but no such option is found when I go to Advanced Adjustments.

Thank you for the suggestion. The suggested method does seem to retain the desired resolution for that session of PSE use, but reverts to 72 resolution after closing the program and reopening it. So I still have to select File>New>Blank File and then set the resolution, then paste the image in order for it to be at the desired resolution (otherwise it is the still arriving as a 72 resolution). After following the suggested steps, I also tried File>New>Paste From Clipboard and got the same result of 72 resolution. Maybe PSE doesn't allow that type of customization.

I have PSE 2018. When I paste an image or open an unedited image, the resolution is almost always at 72 pixels/inch. Is there a way in PSE to change the default resolution to what I want which will save me having to resize the image by changing it to 300, which is what I typically use for my final saved version? Thanks for any insight on this.

How do I change the color of the Photoshop Elements 2018 user interface. I often see examples of other with a dark gray interface, but mine is pale gray and I don't find a setting to change it. Is there a "skin" that needs to be imported?
