We're using the Nvidia RTX 3050 6GB fanless (Palit) GPU. At certain moments, we get a constant warning that the GPU fan isn't running, which is 100% correct. 🙂 There isn't one. Where can we put this message off? We couldn't find it in the PP settings. Thanks for answering! Best René

Specially in multitrack mode Adobe Audition seems to forget in which new directory you just created and working in. Everybody's adminstration and seeking for the right file and file location, would be much simpler if the 'Untitled' files plus number & Untilted Session' names would automaticly suggest rename the name of the directory you're working in, in stead of this 'Untitled' BS. The problem is solved. After a test with another, wired and very simple mouse, it turned out that the cause is in my Logitech Ergo Trackball. Has always worked fine but the micro switches have become inaccurate after almost seven years and generate double clicks. Ordered a new one today. now with a better battery and USB C connection. It got less, but it still isn't solved. Even pressing the standard V shortcut doesn't resolve opening instead of moving the files unexspectedly in the multitrack mode. Maybe it's a W11 issue. There is an option to replace all drivers to the W11 standard. Or an upgrade to w11 24H2. I will keep you posted on this.

Thank you for your answers Steve. I lost focus on having the right tool mode on (upper left) like; move tools razor, slip, time. I never needed to look to that for a long time. From today on I will look if 'move tool' is on. Seems to work better now. When I click the 'bring clips to front' box again in settings, the 'to move clip' opens again, so I keep that off. But thanks! 🙂

I don't Steve. It happens while I try to move the item in multitrack mode. I brought the double click thing up since IF there was a option for it in Audition, it probably wouldn't happen in the first place. I currently use version 24.6.0.069

What do I do wrong currently? While working in multitrack mode and trying to move individual items, audition constantly opens that track. In preference settings I have this checbox, multitrack clips, bring clips to front, off! What elso can I do? There is no option for double click to open tracks. Hi Steve, Thank you for your answer. You're absolutely right on missing the 12k to 22k audio range. I found the and used the 'strech and pitch' method in Audition, (200% & -12 semitones) which works fine on the speed thing except for the plus 12k range. Doing a copy exercise of 45 tapes of 192 minutes each is not something to look forward to. These come from a 'tapeclub' in the eighties and are all old collectors recordings from the forties, fifties, sixties and later on from radio, tv or audience made concerts (cassettes). I will do a check and test if it practically hearable on the items. But thanks again!

I was asked to digitaze 45 maxell 35-180 analogue tapes. To reduce copytime, I prefer to set the tapedeck speed on 15 inch instead of 7.5 which was used originally. Adjusting JKL in Preferences, Playback & Recording, you can easily slow the playback speed 50%. But how do I save it to a new file with that new speed? I can't seem to find it. When I start a new editing project, I first create a new subfolder before I get started and put all the source items in that particular folder. Why does Audition keeps calling all new generated items, mixdowns and sessions 'untitled'? Instead of copying the name of my starting folder? You'll be completely exhausted later, especially as Audition also has problems putting your mixdown in the right folder. AA always puts it in the penultimate project. Choosing the actual folder name instead of 'untitled' should at least be an option in settings, autosave & backup. Best, René

An extra solution if you're using a Focusrite external audio (usb) system. Use/install their focusrite ASIO driver instead of the standard MME driver. If you're not recording directly and doing mixing/remixing stuff, set the buffersize on max (1024). Made everything perfect again here. Also while using VST3's like Izotope Nectar 4 (auto level)

I think solved it. Yesterdays tests went well. The source of the problem is Windows 11 itself. I chose: controlepanel, power options, edit plan settings. display off in 15 minutes, put computer to sleep; never. Thinking that this sleep option off, would also keep the the power on for the harddisks. However, when you go to; advanced power setting and click on harddisk, turn off harddisk, you'll see that W 11 puts your harddisk into sleep mode after 20 minutes! I changed that to 9999 (max) minutes. Second thing I did was to implement a 'new working location' on a M2 SSD. I now use my harddisks for storage only. Best, René

Hi Everyone. Due to new/improved possiblilities in Spectralayers and UVR software I now started to work with multiple (8) wave files (vocals & instruments) in Audition multitrack mode at the same time. I gives you a better mix in the end. I've set all available pc memory, 32gb, to Audition in settings. (F4) Still Audition starts hanging after some editing into a few tracks. After getting a nearly white screen and taking my time, I'm still able to save the new settings into this multitrack. Saving the wave files in 32 or 16 bit, and into the multitrack settings, doest make any difference. Does anybody else have the same experience? Thanks for reading and hopefully a process solving reply. Windows 11 23H2, AMD Ryzen 9-3900, AMD X570 Aorus Ultra. C:\Disk 9% used out one TB.

After zooming with two studio guys from Nashville last week, I finally was able to solve the individual song/track ID issue for 'one physical track live recording wave file' with no 2 seconds default pause and adding all needed release info like artist name, song title, album title, composers, songwriters, and UPS & ISRC code numbers, etc. It's adding a (Hofa) DDP file. The same one as for CDs in the past. The special ITSMP file format for iTunes can be generated with this Hofa DDP app also. There is 14 days free trial version of this app but you can't save anything with it.

Hi Spamhunter, I use a couple of audio players, but my question is not for my own use. I remastered a live audio perfomance of 65 minutes. in total which will be released worldwide.I wonder how 'official' audio companies/record labels solved this for their concert releases. The (sub) start marker thing is not implemented/written in the audio specs for these formats like it is for cd's. This question is sent out to a certain engineer at one of these big record companies. It isn't solved yet and I don't think it will very soon. The problem is that there is no metadata definition made for this in digital audio files for mp3 flac, wave etc I wonder how companies like Sony solved this for their digital live performance releases.

OK just solved it. You need to cross the 'auto refresh box' for some reason, then all files and sesx showed up. That wasn't a very obvious thing to do to me. However, the *.sesx combi end result is OK. So thank you for your suggestion! 🙂

Hi emmrecs! I downloaded and donated $20, and became a registered user of this app. However, I can't select any *.sesx file since they don't show up in their file boxes when you select the appropriate file map. It also hasn't a simple 'how to'. The website of sender's registration info email address doesn't seem to exist also. I use windows 11

Hi Audition Users! Not to have too many items in one multitrack session, I've split a live performance into two multitrack sessions. Until now I've exported Multitrack session b as as one complete wave file and added it to Multitrack session a. I've produced/remixed a multitrack live recording in Audition in wave format. Since the performance and audio total is more than an hour, has 18 tracks, and runs in one flow, it would be handy to add track ID's like I use to do in Audition for cd's. I still have that boring issue that Audition 23.3.0.55 doesn't remember the right map location, even after you start a new project by creating a new map for it. When you press save it file map isn't even in the list. This was reported in 2017 already and also a post about said it was solved. Unfortunately not on my location. I communicated with Falk O about it during a few at IBC shows. Audition & Asio isn't the best combo here too. I disabled the Mobo audio and only use the Focusrite 8i3 (3rd) ins and outs. All in and outs are set to 44.1. In W10 also. However when I record a new audio file on 44100 Hz, Audition produces a 48 one. Using MME I meet no issues at all.
