I guess that means InDesign doesn't automatically do the translations on the fly. I figured that would be too easy. Thanks

I have a rather large document I need to translate from English to Chinese. I can use Google Translator to copy and paste from my file the English copy to Chinese, then copy and paste the Chinese translation back into my InDesign file. But that will take far too long for an almost 300 page document. Is it possible to simply select a Chinese font in InDesign and automatically translate the English text? I've changed the settings on my iMac, so I can view Chinese characters, but only if I copy and paste it already translated from a different source. Sorry if this sounds confusing. TIA

It's not just text. There are floating images throughout, along with tables, call outs, etc. Formatting is a mess so I'm just trying to tighten it up. I'll try the script option. Thanks.

I'm working on a file created by someone else who linked every single text box in a 40 page document. So editing a paragraph or image on page 5 affects the placement of text on page 30. When I try to unlink them all of the text disappears. Is there a way to unlink all of the boxes without losing content? Thanks
