I feel your pain. Having been involved in bringing large format digital printing systems to market when the technology was new and a bit flaky at times, it needs patience from that part of the customer base which is willing to see the benefits of the new technology and live with its early foibles and, importantly, help the developers with constructive feedback and encouragement.

I am blown away by the improvement over the default iPhone camera app. Please provide a way to select multiple images to add to Lightroom. At the moment I have to do this one at a time. I want to be able to choose multiple images shot with PI and add them to a specific Album that I have created in LR so that I can edit them later on my iPad Pro together with images that I've shot on the Sony A7RV.

Useful addition to LR. I would like to apply the Adaptive Profile to multiple images after import into LRC. This does not seem to be available. Or have I missed something?

Thank you. That's most helpful. I still don't understand why my cloud storage space is so high (33GB). My understanding was that synced photos from Lightroom Classic did not take up any space in your cloud storage allowance.

I have over 16000 photos in All Synced Photos which are occupying 35.8GB of cloud storage space. I want to reduce that to below 20GB so that I can reduce my monthly subscription cost. When I've tried to do that in the past the original files got deleted on my local HD as well. How can I delete from the cloud without them begin deleted from my local storage next time I sync.

I have just experienced the same problem. I take my MacBook Air when I travel, start a new LRC catalog, rate, sort and edit. Back home in my main LRC catalog on my Mac Studio I "Import from another catalog". Used to work fine. This time I got the "Lightroom cannot import from this catalog" message. My workaround was to export all the photos to a new catalog on the Desktop of the MBAir. This automatically synced with the Desktop on my Mac Studio. Took time but I was then able to import from this catalog without issues.

I have same question as yuri. I need to replace my current external storage HDD to increase capacity to 12 or 16TB. Current library is 4TB of DNG files on an external USB3.0 drive (Seagate). LR catolog is on the C: drive which is a 1TB PCIe SSD. Will there be any difference in performance between a USB3.0, USB3.1/c and a Thunderbolt 3? I do quite a lot of panoramas and exposure bracketing which require merging functions in LR - I mention this because I'm assuming (rightly?) that LR accesses the DNG files from the external drive during those processes. Your input appreciated. Thx.

I successfully installed LR Classic 7 yesterday (19th October). It converted my existing LR catalog and worked fine. I restarted my Windows 10 PC (64bit) today after shutting down overnight. LR Classic loads, shows the Library view for a second or two then crashes. I looked for fixes and tried the following: i) Signed out of Adobe Creative Cloud and signed back in. Initially loaded, lasted a few more seconds but then crashed. ii) Thinking it might be an issue with my large catalog I started LR Classic while holding the ALT key and created a new catalog. I then imported 12 photos successfully, edited one in the develop module, geo-tagged all 12 in the Map module. Then returned to the Library module and LR Classic crashed again. iii) GPU acceleration was already switched off in ACR, PS and LR Classic as it had caused problems with ACR. This is very frustrating and annoying.

Hear, hear. I was just about to ditch my PC and order the imac 5k. Now I'm not sure. How widespread is this problem? Is Adobe doing anything? Is it hardware, program or OS related? Does anyone have similar issues with the Dell UP2715k driven by a PC? Since a (the) major reason for buying a 5k monitor is photography or video post production one would assume that Adobe have tested. Please comment on this issue Adobe.
