Lightroom Classic Crashes after loading

I successfully installed LR Classic 7 yesterday (19th October). It converted my existing LR catalog and worked fine. I restarted my Windows 10 PC (64bit) today after shutting down overnight. LR Classic loads, shows the Library view for a second or two then crashes. I looked for fixes and tried the following:

i) Signed out of Adobe Creative Cloud and signed back in. Initially loaded, lasted a few more seconds but then crashed.

ii) Thinking it might be an issue with my large catalog I started LR Classic while holding the ALT key and created a new catalog. I then imported 12 photos successfully, edited one in the develop module, geo-tagged all 12 in the Map module. Then returned to the Library module and LR Classic crashed again.

iii) GPU acceleration was already switched off in ACR, PS and LR Classic as it had caused problems with ACR.

This is very frustrating and annoying.
