I have some 120FPS footage going in a 24p timeline. Is it best to drag the 120FPS footage to the timline and set speed and duration to 40% (or whatever the appropriate setting is... Coffee hasn't kicked in yet)... Or is it better to select the footage in the bin and select Modify Footage and "interpret footage as 24fps"? I've seen conflicting YouTube videos on the topic and was curious what some "recognized experts" have to say on the topic.

LUTs DO preview when you select the source footage so for now, I'm working out a look on source footage and then save and clear and apply to the adjustment layer... Not ideal, but It's a little better than click to apply to adjustment layer to preview.

Yeah, I did not have a resolution for this yet. I have done a number of things with no success including clearing cache, I recently uninstalled and reinstalled all with no success.

Issue - When attempting to apply a creative LUT to an adjustment layer, the selected LUT will not preview in the Lumetri Color Panel. If I apply the same LUTs to source footage and not the adjustment layer, they will preview.
Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 24.6.1
Operating system - macOS Sonoma 14.6.1
System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD: (Mac Studio)
CPU: Apple M2 Max
RAM: 32GB
Hard Drive: Internal SSD
Video format: .mp4 8-bit h.264 from GoPro Hero 9, also with DJI Osmo Pocket 3 - .HEVC 10-bit 4:2:0
Workflow details: This is with any sequence. Any project on this machine. I’m applying a source footage to a track and an adjustment layer to a track above. This same process works just fine on my windows PC machine. So this is why I think it’s a bug or a setting that I have not been able to replicate. This problem exists if it’s a Adobe supplied LUT or a custom LUT from a 3rd party.
Steps to reproduce - Add a source file to track V1. Add an adjustment layer to V2. Open Lumetri color and go to the creative tab. Click the arrows to scroll through lots or select one from the list.
Expected result - Expected to see a preview of the LUT effect in the Lumetri color panel.
Actual result - Lumetri color panel Creative LuT preview window maintains the view of the original clip with no change when you select different ones. (LUT will apply and you can see it in the Program window, but that makes it harder to browse through a series of LUTs to find the look you are looking for.)

This works perfectly on my PC. You can see here... "Source" Adjustment layer.... and in the creative LUT window, it's previewing the SL Blue Ice LUT. I feel like I've done this previously on my Mac as well, so I'm a little confused why it isn't doing that when it seems like it should.

So it is with all LUTs. Even the Adobe supplied default LUTs. footage is .mp4 h.264 from a GoPro Hero9 I can confirm later if it works with other footage but Im pretty sure i saw this with otger camera footage.

I have a weird bug... I think it's happened before. I have a project and an adjustment layer, I have applied a lumetri effect to the adjustment layer. But when i scroll through selections in the Lumetri panel, it will not preview the effect. If I click on it, it will apply and show in the program window. If I apply a lumetri creative lut directly to the footage, it will preview, but it will not preview in the adjustment layer. I have tried,: checking for Global FX mute reseting cache and preferences restarting app restarting Mac different projects, same results This is incredibly frustrating. Attached is a screenshot to show footage, Lumetri panel and program monitor and adjustment layer selected. I'm using MacOS on a Mac Studio. Adobe Premiere 24.6.1 (current)

I realize that this program is intended to be a quick editing version of Premiere but there he been some features this program is severely lacking and development releases for big changes seems like far and few between when compared to some other programs at Adobe. Cut Copy Paste... why can I not move a clip from sequence to sequence within. Project or projects? This is like basic computing 101 for decades yet you can’t move simple assets around outside the timeline? Nest sequences - I don’t think this is a very cpu intensive feature... but I could be wrong. The ability to work on a small segment of a sequence and then embed it within another goes a LONG way toward productivity and being able to focus on a segment of a project/ Subclips? - it would be nice to be able to trim and save media. Cut in the timeline and drag back to the bin... or create a new folder in a bin and store those in there? I really want to live this program and even bought a new iPad to allow me to do this type of work only to be stumped on the first project that it can’t do what I need. Sure I can transfer to my desktop and assemble the pieces I worked on, but these things aren’t THAT complex, I don’t think. It feels like when the app launched it was positioned for Youtuber. Now it feels like it’s mostly focused toward social media stories. Shorter content. Certainly it seems like it’s missing some basic production stuff that would be helpful for someone making longer episodes on YouTube. If I’m wrong and someone has a link to a solid workflow plan I’d love to hear it.

I have a project where I'm doing a DJ scene and wanted to have a bunch of hands raised in the foreground bouncing up and down. I was thinking it would be neat to do it in character animator so the arms would bend a little while the hands move. But I'm not sure that Animator can support multiple arm like objects moving? It seems like Character Animator handles a humanoid like character really well, but not sure it works with non traditional characters? Would a character with say 12 arms be possible? Or would it be creating characters with hands raised and adding multiple characters to a single scene (is that possible?)

We do use Microsoft Team Foundation Server already within our organization for code repository. So we get version control and backups that way. This is used by our IT team for all of our many IT platforms, projects and code. They work in individual local sandboxes for their code and commit it back to TFS (like GIT). With our team being designers, we have a shared dev server setup that we work off of. The problem becomes is that resources of our site exist on different file shares. And it doesn't seem that Dreamweaver has a way to specify that an image, js, css resource may exist outside the root of the site.

I'm just diving into html5 canvas export with Animate. I have successfully exported a project and previewed it on our server. I now need to see about integrating it into our site. Here's the tricky part. We don't have a traditional server with files and folders. It's all built from multiple servers and file shares and compiled and exported. So our pages are XSL (HTML from an app server and our images are hosted on an image server.) I was able to migrate the JS to our XSL pages and no errors. The page leaves the appropriate space. I see the stage color within the site. But my animated symbols are not showing. I assume it's because my published project is looking for images/motionTest_atlas_.png but from the page I'm displaying, there is not relative path folder. I need to specify a root level link somewhere to find my images, I believe, i just don't see where to do that. I need my images to reference /images/pages/page/canvas/images/motionTest_atlas_.png So can you, how do you modify the path to the images folder? (I tried in export settings but it wouldn't allow a root level path. It had to be relative.

Long time Dreamweaver user and have been plagued with a long standing problem that I have just worked around for years by working in code view. I would like to utiltize some of the WYISWIG features, but I struggle with our site structure. We have a large site and have an app server and a web server. The pages of the site are XSL page and exist on one server. The JS, Images, LESS and CSS exist on our web server… So locally, XSL is in Drive “S” and JS/Images/LESS/CSS are on drive “T”. (our team works off a single shared development server that transforms the XSL... so we have a shared testdomain.com that we go to for our team.) My struggle is when setting up the site within Dreamweaver, we get errors because the static files are “outside the site root”. When we preview in our browser, www.domain.com loads the XSL pages and the image references are /js /images and such respectively… but they are on separate local dev server/drives. Is there a way to set Dreamweaver up to work properly with this? Is there something I’ve been missing? The only option I could think of would be for us not to use a shared server, but rather have a local test server and we "get" files from there to a single local folder however we need to structure it for Dreamweaver and then it would all check back into the right spot? That is a bit more complexity that our team has wanted to manage in the past as we are design focused and not IT focused and not sure how complex it would be to get a functional local server running.

Well... I may be assuming Rush is capable of more than I expected. I assumed from the presentation that it would solve the problem for youTubers to put together a well produced show easily. I expected a 3-5 min webisode would be the target. That said... this particular clip is MANY clips. Well over 3-5 clips. It's currently at like 8 min and many many clips. (I dropped in a couple long GoPro files I transferred to my phone with the GoPro Quik Key.) and then I was chopping out big hunks to get to a shorter more interesting edit. I've done stuff like this in the past with iMovie and it's worked (although, i'd always used my iPad Pro, which likely has a bit more horsepower... and maybe that's the answer... I just want more space on my iPad. 😞 And I did not proxy clip this project (that I'm aware of). Because files were large, I selected to keep this project entirely on the phone. I will just move on and edit on the PC for now til I can better resolve my space issue on the iPad.

I'm going to make this even stranger. When I was in the office today, I was able to open and use Adobe Premiere Pro 12.0.1. Now that I'm working remotely at home, I get this error. What would be causing this? Is there something maybe with the corporate privileges for our office? That seems strange to me!

This is not helpful if you already had to upgrade your project to work in 12.0.1 and it is not "backwards compatible" with 12.0.0. I have a video I'm trying to complete for Tuesday and was going to work on over the weekend and unable to open what I've done previously. Now I'm in panic mode!

I have a DVD that I created in 2009. It does not have copy protection. It plays perfectly fine. I tried to copy the VOB file to my HD and import to Premiere Pro CC to snag a segment of the video and export as a shorter clip. When I put the VOB in a timeline, it has no audio. I took a peek in the Audio_TS folder and it's empty... so I'm not quite sure where the audio truly is. update: I did just notice I have an error icon "the audio in this file requires the Dolby audio decoder, which is not available on your operating system. Try updating to win 8.1 and installing the Microsoft media feature pack and then reimport the file. Why do I need a new OS to work with a file that was made in a much old OS? That seems like total BS to me. 😕 Is there a way around this? I'm in a corporate setting and locked to Win 7 at the moment.

Ok, so a little further info. I did just see a notification pop up in a banner at the top of my ipad. It said "user marked favorite" on a photo. But it went away and was unable to see find a trace of the notification. For my IOS notification settings for the Lightroom app, I have all the options turned on. include Show on lock screen, show in history and show as banners. It WAS set to temporary which I have now changed to persistent, so I'll have to dismiss it to acknowledge I've seen it and be able to better see the message. I did see the red badge again on the app, but I was still unable to find what was updated. I'm not sure if i'm just missing a location for this or if it's a poorly implemented feature?

The "would you like to allow" did come from when i started using the app (or after a recent updated.) I haven't used the app in a while so it's possible it was after install on new devices. When I say "sent to the desktop" - I should have said... when I viewed the web gallery on a desktop computer (Windows/Chrome), that was where I left a comment. I did many of them with my same Adobe ID, but other users with different IDs tested and I still did not get a notification. I did notice today that after testing with my other adobe ID, I did get a red badge notification on the icon application on my ipad that there was 1 notification. However, I never got a notification in the OS with any detailed information and when I opened the app, I was unable to find any place to highlight what the new notification might be.
