Issue with multicam sync - R3d file not recognised

I am starting to edit a large set of projects for me that is a panel discussion recording with x3 cameras and an audio recording. One of the cameras used recorded in R3D raw file type. The other cameras are just my standard set up (A GH5 and Canon XC15). The audio was recorded via lapels on each of the panellists and as WAV on a Zoom field recorder. I have diligently labelled & catalogued everything in Prelude. And now opened in Premiere. My intention is to sync the footage using the Multicam sequence feature, with the audio as the sync point. When I do, it syncs the two other video files and the audio, but it comes up with an error for the R3d file. The error message is the 'could not synchronise one or more clips in the current selection because a match could not be found". Confusingly, it will sync the audio with the R3d footage if I just select the two and use Merge Clip. I am a bit lost as to what the issue might be. I have 9 of these to edit and it's a work thing, so I am very keen to sort a fix! Please help!

"You mean you share the same prproj file and other bits which are on a shared server/folder and accessed by different workstations each with its own separate Premiere installations?" .... yes.... That is how we have it set up. Project file & footage on NAS (wired in directly from each workstation). Cache & rendering set to a local drive, so we aren't sharing previews etc. The AE set up is the same. If that's not the way to go, how hard is it to rectify? We came on to this project later than expected, and had to resource it very quickly, and without time to set up & test our design properly. I did check out Teams, but I couldn't quite get my head around how it worked with footage & storage etc. My colleague is replying about the AE issue. Thanks for response - we really appreciate it!

G'day, Essential info: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1 Installed most recent update Using Premiere Pro 2017.1.2 v11.0, Oasis Source footage .MXF Also using After Effects Not using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration Footage & Project accessed through a Synology DS1515+ Render & cache set to local drive for both workstations Specs in screen grab Have been working on a project which includes video footage across 7 sequences (updating version after each edit). Two of the sequences include an After Effects sequence using Dynamic Link. Two of us accessing the files at two workstations, not simultaneously. Dynamic Link started to really slow down late last week. Friday mid day I went out for lunch, shut it down in case my colleague wanted to work on it. When I came back it loaded the sequence, I got the standard message about only using Mercury Playback software, and then stuck as screen grab below. And has been stuck as such ever since. I have tried opening a new project and importing the entire project in, however this worked for the video, but the Dynamic Link sequences disappeared. When I located them in Project Manager it locked up the system and crashed. Any help you can offer greatly appreciated! Cheers, Tim
