This is a work around, but in my case I change between the different layouts now and then (audio, color....). And when i switch back to my saved workspace layout for editing it's all scrambled up. I can't understand why a new bug takes such a long time and multiple updates to fix. I'm sure they have more than a few subscribers so they should be able to have an ample number of programmers to work on this issue. Or is this issue just one out of a thousand other more pressing bugs so it's way down the list of priorities. I have the exact same issue with Premiere CC 2019. I'm not sure if Adobe ever tests their releases, new releases are always so buggy. I'm on a win10 computer. Everything is up to date and my premiere seems to forget my saved layouts everytime I close the application. If I "reset to saved layout", nothing happens. I've also noticed that I need to turn on "play audio while scrubbing" under edit->preferences->audio... So it seems that premiere doesn't read whatever file that stores the settings of the application. I've had bigger issues with Premiere earlier, but this is still annoying. Thanks for your reply Jim. I understand what you mean, but what if you don't know if the greyed out circle OR the grey circle with a hole in it is the active one? Then you're not sure if you're changing it or not. This bug (I call it a bug rather than a feature) is not hindering me from doing my work, but I still think the design is flawed and left hand work (if you're left handed it'll be right hand work to you) that should never have been approved. What's wrong with normal check/tick boxes? In Premiere, if you go into Preferences - Graphics and look at the similar radio buttons there. They are still a poor design, but at least they can't be misunderstood. If you want to try it out for yourself, you can make a clip offline and then press the top selection a few times. Ok. I kind of understand which button is selected. And it would be OK if I could click the top button twice to confirm that it's right. But if you click twice (or more), this happens, see GIF.
