problem solved. you now HAVE to have the trasnparancy grid enabled to get the correct preview mode window. this is awesome, because it's a feature i hate, and have kept off since they added this feature.

thanks. i made a change or 2 to the settings, but i still expect emails to things i post and don't see them, even in spam (it's possible our IT police have them blocked). i DO see "email follow options" with everything i've posted on Unchecked. curious the default is unchecked.

so, best practice is to reply to the OP, not the person you're replying to? now that i see it, it says "reply" at right as a word, but now that i typed here, "reply" is in a blue button.

this forum software is so bad. you ask some one a question, and unless they check back to see their exact post, they'll never know a question was asked of them. "email me when some one replies" does not work.

hi, i searched for this, but the other posts seemed to be not what i'm asking. for some time, the small preview window for things like motion blur or gaussian blur, do not work when i have it appled to a layer. it used to be i'd actually SEE the effects of the blur BEFORE i applied it. screen shot attached. i'm on the lastes version of 2019, on a MBP mid 2014, os 10.12.6. i've changed the graphics proc. settings from advanced to basic, not seeing a difference. thanks for any help in this. (plese see file named 1example) this is what it looks like on a mac with a "MD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB graphics" card: (please see file named 2late2011) here's a screen shot from my work mac, newer mac mid 2014 MBP: (please see file named 3mid2014) a helpful person suggested the following, which didn’t work: Uncheck Use Graphics Processor, restart photoshop to check if that made any difference. If that doesn't, in Photoshop CC>Preferences>Performace check Legacy Compositing, restart photoshop and see if that made a difference. (please see file named 4blur help)

ah! i dont come here often, in part because of the forum software. i thought maybe i was doings oemthing wrong, or maybe it was a safari / chrome thing. add to the list: no email when i check the box that says "emaila me when someone replies" i'll post something, then forget to check because of couse, no emails came to tell me to look. funny such a huge comeany like adobe has such amateur forum software.

every single time i post something, i select "email when someone replies" and i never get an email, i forget i made the post, then2 weeks later, i happen to come here and see i have a reply. replies are not going to spam, i checked. when i reply to some one, the interface shows a one line field for me to type in, it does not expand, nor can i add any attachments to my reply.

i've only play with thWC briefly, but when i paint, then dry the layer, then paint again, the colors re-wet, as if i did not dry them. i'd expect my pigment to not re-mix. are you seeing that too? i know i could make a new layer for the next wash of color.

no, mike. command tilde swaps open windows, it always has (well, used to). command TAB swaps apps. i'm doing it right this second in pshop 2019. it's a system setting, set in keyboards, although it may also be an app setting. cmd ~ also works in AI. on my other mac, control tab DOES swap open files.

what's the fix for this to work all the time? i have 2 MBPs, one on 10.13.6, one on 10.12.6, both have the latest photoshop 2019. i can NEVER reliably, all the time count on command tilde working to cycle though open files. right this second, one mac can do it and one amc cannot. i never know if a full system re-start is required or re-launh the app, but usually, i just work around it and pine for the old days when this app worked like a champ all the time. what's the deal? make new prefs? when it stops working is a re-boot required to fix? thanks for any input on this...

for a change to double your money answering today, can you tell me what setting i need to change to keep acrobat from preparing my documents for reading? i did something last week, did not pay close attention to the warning, and now i can't find in the 36 preference panels where to keep it from reading.

thank you! that fixed it. in other apps it's called "legacy this or that" but why stay constant? i counted 36 categories, no idea how many total options there are, but a random one has 11 or so checkboxes or menus, that would be over THREE HUNDRED items to look at and mull over "do i need this? or not?" great job adobe acrobat team! (that is sarcasm)
