I have the same problem - Filename in the camera is different from the file name saved on the laptop when tethering direct into lightroom. I don't thing the 'correct answer' to this thread is correct, really not solving the problem. Using a Fuji XH2. Lightroom version is 14.4. Naming template in the settings is just Filename.

In LRc, it is possible to change the file name modifier of externally edited photos from 'Edit' to whatever you want. Is there a way to change the modifier for merged photos (Pano / HDR) or Enhanced photos?

replying to myself as a follow up. it's the next day, and this morning there was still 1 images syncing! (even though I had stopped syncing the collection the evening before...) After a few hours all was finally synced, I created a new collection, added the images and to my surprise they all synced pretty quick. Happy that it now seems to work but worried this kind of thing would happen when I'm in a rush and have to share stuff with a client. Is that an issue adobe is looking at?

Hi Sameer, thanks for the response. I have already tried to make small edits to some images. Still no syncing. I have a notification if I click the top right of LRc that 31 images are syncing, but it's been like that all day. In Lightroom web, there are no Sync issue. I've stopped syncing the collections, but after at least 1h, the notification is stil '31 images syncing'

I have created a synced collection with 37 images, 4 of which have synced and are visible in the online gallery, the rest refuse to upload. In fact some of them disapear from the collection (not from the catalog just the collection) I've created another collection, added the same images and the same 4 images upload and the rest don't, similarly some of the images get removed from the collection after 10 or 20 minutes. I have tried restarting lightroom, restarting the PC, pausing/restarting the syncing, clicking on the 3 dots at the top of the images nothing works. I am able to export the images so the source files are present on the PC.

Same problem here with a wide gammut monitor. Reader DC displays oversaturated colors. I found that Edge is a good alternative if you want to view color managed PDFs on windows

I use synced collections a lot when I want to share selections of images with clients and collaborators. I think it's one of the killer feature of Lr. However I think it's missing the ability for the client to view just their favorited images. I often get asked from them if it's possible. It would be great to be able to see just the images selected for retouching from a shoot, to see if they work well together. Is anything in the works or am I missing a way to do this? I have this issue where there's always 6 images being synced. I can see that in the top right hand cloud storage/local activity and I get a dialog each time I shutdown lightroom. It doesn't affect the app in any other way, I can still create synced collections and the different modules work fine. Still I would like to clear these notification. I had the issue previous to upgrading to the latest version and it's still the case after the upgrade. System is Windows 10 on PC/AMD 2700x

Amazing. I can just remove them from the All Synced Photographs collection and it seems to work. Thanks Now the next thing is that the original files are in the C:\...\Pictures\Lightroom\Mobile Downloads.lrdata, My main catalog is on a different drive. I know I can move them manually to another folderfrom within LRclassic but is there a way for the Mobile Downloads.lrdata folder to be permanently somewhere else?

I'm mostly a LR classic user. I use it on a desktop on my main workspace and also on a laptop while travelling to do some editing and culling using temporary catalogs. This is generally my workflow: before leaving for a trip I prepare a temporary catalog, possibly with some images I have to edit. while on the trip I add new images to the catalog and once I come back I import from this catalog into my main catalog. This works but one thing I can't do is to create a shared/synced collection while I'm on the trip as this can only be done from the main catalog. So I'm back to exporting jpegs to google drive folders while on the trip which is a much less convenient way of doing things. So I'm thinking of using LR CC for my next travel which would allow me to do exacly that. I don't want to move to LR CC for everything. What I would like to do is to be able to export an album of a specific trip/job as a LR classic catalog so that I can import it into my main catalog. I hope this is clear. Thanks

thedigitaldog I seriously don't know whether you are serious or you are trolling. I don't sharpen or do any noise reduction on these images. This is not my concern. My concern is the tint and contrast differences between the library and develop renderings. Differences that weren't there on version 7.

Thank you Todd for this explanation. However you mention the difference in noise and sharpness, this is not the difference I'm concerned about. The difference I'm seeing on some images, such as on the first two images I posted on this thread, is a difference of tint, one has a green tint the other a magenta tint, also the contrast is different. The reason might come from the different resizing/interpolation algos used but this wasn't the case on the previous LR version. Something has changed There was a claim that the new process 5 was better for high iso images that is why I went to my dark images straight away and found this difference. The difference is present on both old and new process. These are 2-3 stops underexposed images shot at the highest iso setting available on the camera so not a general case. There's probably very little colour information to start with.

You are missing the point. Library is more accurate because when you export a jpeg or tiff or print this is the colours I'm getting, this is what the client is seeing in synced collections. I don't care what bit depth the preview has in develop, it's just wrong. If I export to photoshop, the colours look like the library view, not the develop view.

No, because In my case, and that is the big problem, the accurate colours are not in develop module but in library. Per Bernsten said it above, library is more accurate because develop has to render on the fly.

No, in this case there is no difference, they both appear with the library colours. The navigator image still displays different in each module. There is also a difference in fill view
