I'm so glad I found one of the post how to download Acrobat Pro 2020. That solved so many problems I was having with this newest version. Could not even zoom into a simple file, it would lockup Acrobat. What's really crazy is it was bogging down my whole computer just having it installed. Took me weeks to figure out what was going on. I would get the spinning beach ball constantly for even the smallest task like typing an email. Removed Acrobat and installed 2020 Pro. Problem solved! The last Pro Acrobat was version 9. Everything else has been a joke since.

I have a variable card I'm setting up. The persons name will be centered aligned. The title will be directly underneath and right aligns under their name. See sample. Is there a way to keep the title in this position as the name shrinks or growns in length? I can achieve this with an auto sizing box and variable width. Problem is when I have a name too big it sizes beyond my trim. If I limit the width then I get overset text. My variable data program will size the text to fit but it doesn't not work correctly when using the auto sizing boxes.

It would be great if I could do it all in one click. See screen shots below. All of the pages will have a sequence number in the bottom left. Note, these are not numbered pages, they are variable. I want to keep the pages that have copy in them, like the first screenshot, and delete the pages that only have the sequence number, second screenshot. Page size is 5.25" wide x 4" tall. Sequence number is in the lower left within .25 inches from the corner.

I guess at minimum I would like a script to remove pages in my document. Pages that do not contain object or text. If I knew anything about scripting I'm sure it would be very simple. I have some knowledge of if/then statements but not enough to do me any good here. Does anyone have a script that will remove blank pages from InDesign? I have a data merge that produces hundreds of blank pages that need to be removed. It's complicated so I won't go into why.. An extra bonus would be if the script would remove a page with an empty text box. Each page has a sequence number so the entire page is not actually blank. However, I could get by without the sequence number, adding it later. CC - 2019

Has anyone figured this out yet? The "correct answer" the staff member posted is not correct. It should be taken down as a correct answer. The stupid tour window keeps popping up when I'm trying to get work done. And why are all the Adobe CS products being so dumbed down now? We just recently moved to CC from CS6, after holding out as long as we could, and it's pretty sad. I feel like CS6 was the last professional version of the creative suite. Not to mention any Acrobat product after version 9 has the interface of a crappy Microsoft Office program.

So is there a way to easily shave off the outside of a shape? Here is a very simplified example: Say you have a square and you want to reduce it by 1pt all the way around. Basically I have a logo that is going to be cutout and I need to make my cut layer slightly smaller to allow for a "bleed". Of course my logo is not a simple square, think more inline with an "O". I need the outer and inner edges of the "O" to be reduced by a point. I've accomplished this before by adding a stroke, converting my stroke to a fill, going through several pathfinder options and deleting the fill, etc. I'm hoping there is a "reduce" button somewhere I've been missing or a quicker way. Does anyone have a script that will auto update the links in several InDesign documents? I have 121 InDesign documents that each have two updated .ai files. When I open they ask if I want to update. I need a script that tells each one yes to update and save. I would also like to export a pdf of each file. Being able to chose my preset and overwrite the existing pdf. Batch process of course. Thanks!
