I'm afraid you are way above my knowledge, other than I am looking for at least a TB SSD and at least 16 GB ram. I have a grandson who is pretty good with computers. How difficult is it to put in more ram and a bigger hard drive?

Thank you for your in depth reply. I had one bad experience with Dell about 20 years ago and never tried another. The other complaints came from people on the Better Business Bureau website. It isn't as likely that people with good experiences will write a review. I appreciate the link to Photoshop requirements. In the past few years I only use it occassionally. At this point I'm more concerned with support even if I have to pay more. I'm still looking to find if Mac's have a lot of negative or positive reviews.

I tried a loaded 14" thinkpad, installed Photoshop, but immediately had a problem and after two experiences with their rude tech support, returned the Thinkpad. Checking the Better Business Bureau, Dell seems no better. Is there anyone who has purchased a small Windows laptop within the last few years and had decent tech support? (After checking Dell's record, it's worse with complaints). Can anyone refer me to a company that stands behind their product? Since I have a Windows desktop, I was hoping for a Windows laptop, but if my only option for good support is a Mac, would it be best to put up with having to switch back and fourth and buy a Mac? Also is there a 14 inch Mac? Since I'm handicapped and limited in the time I can spend at my desktop, your opinions would be most helpful!

I put Photoshop CS5 on a new laptop and had problems so needed to return the laptop. Without out thinking I did a clean restore, wiping out everything I installed, without deactivating Photoshop (which is also on my desktop computer.) I only use Photoshop now on occasion when I want to touch up a photo I want to have printed so the subscription service is out of the question for me. Because of health problems it's hard to get up and use my desktop. The laptop will be my lifeline. But my desktop is more powerful so I really need to keep Photoshop on it also. I am buying another laptop. Is there anyway I can contact Adobe to deactivate the program on a laptop its no longer on? I tried to follow the instructions and find the Plan section but couldn't find anything that would help. Any advice would be very much appreciated! Peggy

I've run into the "only administrator can delete it". Since it's my computer and I should be the administrator, I searched around and can't figure out how to give myself complete control. Not the first time I've run into this brick wall! I tried the left click (like with running the command prompt box, but it doesn't work. Can you help?

I bought a new computer which means I had to move from Win 7 to Win 10. Which is why OnOne told me I was out of luck. I'll try just delete it from the plug-in folder. Thank you.

Not knowing that my activation code wouldn't work anymore, I installed Photo Tools (My favorite, though long in the tooth). I can't find it under "uninstall programs." It's sitting there, frustrating me because I can't use it. Does anyone know how I can uninstall it? Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the reply! I did go through chat. The agent didn't seem to know what he was doing and couldn't help. But I thought of using the "task manager" and sure enough, a photoshop prosses was running. I shut it off and Photoshop started so I was able to deactivate. So I actually found the correct answer for myself. Your answer should have worked if the agent had known what he was doing. He said it wasn't his area of expertize. I miss the old adobe!

My video card is dying. I ordered a new computer which just went into shipment. Because of the video card problem, Photoshop won't start and I can't deactivate it. I try the support phone number but keep getting the message they they don't support the products, then they disconnect. Can anyone tell me how to reach Adobe to have them deactivate Photoshop from my computer? The number that gets me no where is 1-800-833-6687. Thank you so much if you can help!
