Ive just been working on my app and waiting for adobe to fix all these horrible bugs for the last 6 months.I upgraded to compile with air 3.3 and it still doesn't work.Does adobe not care that this is ridiculous?

Hi,I have an issue with StageText on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (Android 4.1) device.Basically I have not found a way to know if the player deactivated the soft keyboard by pressing the Return/Next key or by just pressing outside the keyboard (both triggering SoftKeyboardEvent.SOFT_KEYBOARD_DEACTIVATE).Main problem: No KeyboardEvents (KEY_DOWN/KEY_UP) works with StageText on Android! Is there any workaround to this? How can I know if the player pressed the Return Key on the soft keyboard? The StageText KeyboardEvents work with iOS so the issue is Android specific.Thanks in advance!/Karl

Hello,I recently updated my iOS app from Air SDK 3.3 to 3.4 and I noticed that the launching time increased dramatically when packaging for ad-hoc and app store. By launching time I mean the time the app is showing only the Default.png and didn't start to execute any code. With the 3.4 SDK my app starts in approximately 14 seconds, and after downgrading to 3.3 SDK, it only take 3 seconds. Is there anything I could be missing ? Thanks for the help

AIR is supposed to support LZMA compression in addition to Deflate, but it has an error every time I try to use it. ZIPs using the Deflate method decompress just fine.aByteArray.uncompress("lzma");Should decompress the LZMA compressed data, but always just has a #1000 System is Out of Memory error.I have tried skipping the standard header in the zip that should be 2 bytes version info, extra properties length (n) and a filed of the length of n;Even when I do that, the same thing happens. I have tried deducting the LZMA header length from the general compressed data size in the ZIP header as well and that makes no difference. I am also above AIR 3.3 so that should not be the issue. I also tried setting a small 'library size' when compressing. LZMA is supposed to be "suited for embedded applications" so mobile devices should surly be able to handle it.The header with the 13 byte header i believe is only for certain stand alone LZMA formats, so that should not apply.What am I doing wrong?

So there is no doubt that Flash Builder with mxml is amazing. I Built my app in 2 months and it is amazing. The problem is that my app is way too slow and it not only freezes but freezes the whole phone and you have to take out the battery.Now I built a test app with Flash Professional, that of course isn't yet as complicated as the Flash Builder app, which performs at the same speed as native apps. It never crashes and is just amazing.I am wondering which direction to go. Which IDE to choose? Flash Pro or Flash Builder? I agree Flash Builder is better in every way during the development process, but in the end... does all that matter? does it not all come down to how well the app performs for the end user?From my website development experience I noticed that Flex websites are slow and crash web browsers. Hey guysLet me start with what I'm trying to achieve. I want to be able to record the screen as the user interacts with it and be able to save that sequence as a video file to either the installDir or the photo roll. I currently have audio playing in the background in my AIR app for iOS. My problem is that when you have the audio playing in the background, and you launch any other audio app on your phone...the audio starts to overlap because my AIR app does not stop playing audio. So when you open Pandora, Music, IHeartRadio, Youtube, etc...the AIR audio still plays.Is this fixed in the AIR 3.3 release with the <executeInBackground> tag? Or is there another way for my AIR app to recognize that another audio app is launching? All the afformentioned apps play nice together like that.I would think this would be grounds for not being accepted in the iTunes store.I really need some answers because my app is set to go live soon and this will be a game changer if I cannot fix it. Is there a way to open pdf file from adobe air application on android (essentially invoking pdf reader)? On desktop, you would normally use File.openWithDefaultApplication(). This DOES NOT work on android.

I'm working on an app that supports simple video conferencing through FMS.  The app creates one video on my AIR View and attaches the camera to it, and creates a second video and attaches the incoming stream to it.  All in all, it's worked quite well.That was, until I tired it on a Nexus 7 running Android 4.1.2 and AIR 3.5.60.  The video from the camera appears, but the quality is terrifically awful, and I can see three or four copies of the image overlaid each other.  I wrote this off as a Nexus issue. That was, until I tried it on a Galaxy S3 running Android 4.0.4 and AIR 3.5.0.60.  The result is the samed ghosting mess.I developed a tiny little app to demonstrate the problem (the source code is below). It's nothing more than an AIR app and the camera+video object placed on a single view. I have updated AIR to 2.7 version (on Windows 7) right before installing my application and the installation does not started . Hi guys hopefully some of you will be able to help me.I am trying to stream audio from a live RTMP feed using the NetConnection and NetStream classes. I've managed to get my app running no problem on Android, however I am having some major difficulties getting it to play the audio back on iPad. Interestingly it works in the device emulators when debugging, however I'm assuming this is not really an accurate representation. I've tried streaming the RTMP in both AAC and MP3, but with no luck from either. I can verify through debug that it has connected to the stream, however I just get no audio playing.Everything I've read about seems to suggest that this is possible on IOS as I'm only interested in audio and not video. Hello,I'm experiencing similar crashes with EVERY Adobe Air apps I try to run on my machine. I'm running Mac OSX 1.5.8 and never had this problems before updating Air 1 month and a half ago.I tried 2 different applications, one of them that I used to run every single day, Grooveshark, and another one that I used to troubleshoot my problem, which is an application made from Adobe sthat I grabbed on Air website.What is happening is that every time I try to run an Air application, it just hangs for a couple of seconds and crashes, giving me a log. For Grooveshark, I don't even see the window, while for the other App, I see an empty window, then it crashes after a few seconds.In order to fix the issue, I already tried several things:- I uninstall every Air Apps installed, uninstalled Adobe Air, deleted its folder in the ~/Library/Framework folder, deleted the /Application/Adobe folder, deleted all doubles font using Font Book, cleared the cache font, cleared the computer cache, Then reinst

Is there a way to launch an AIR iOS app from the Safari browser?  I've read about the ways to do this from a swf, but obviously a swf won't exist in Safari on an iOS device that doesn't support Flash.I have also read about how this is possible with regular iOS apps not developed using AIR.So, without Flash, is it possible to launch an AIR iOS app from the browser?  I assume this would be done with javascript, but I cannot find any info on this.Thanks.

Hi, I am stuck following issues when BBC Iplayer upgraded AIR to version 3.5.0.600 last week which it is not compatible with and now they have asked us to roll back to earlier version. I have throroughly read forum Posts and have already tried the following as administrator.Control Panel / uninstallcommandline AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -uninstallI have tried using microsoft fix it but AIR was not listed ... I can now neither install or uninstall the air program and it does not work properly. Subject line says it all. I try to open Help in PS CS5. I get an Adobe AIR error box that says "This installation of this application is damaged. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance." I've tried both of those suggestions without success. Anybody have any ideas? I'm using Windows Vista and PS CS5 64-bit. Hi,AIR is already installed on my computer. I run a v3.Now I want to silentely install an air application (not air itself) on many computers so double clicking the air file is not an option. Anyone knows how to silentely answers the questions asked during the install ? I also get the message saying the publisher is unknown. Is there a way to skip this step without digitally signing the application ?Thanks

When I try to do anything with air on my mac it shut the app down and tells me i need a newer version but when i try to get a newer version the installer gives the same error message
