Hi Everyone,

We’re excited to share that March brought a set of thoughtful updates to Adobe Express—focused on making everyday creation faster, smoother, and more collaborative.

We’re already seeing teams and creators in our community benefit from these changes, so here’s a quick look at what’s new and why it matters.

What's the new feature
What does it do

Why it matters
Create designs from Microsoft 365 Copilot Adobe Express can now be accessed directly from Microsoft 365 Copilot to start designs

Saves time by letting you create and edit Express designs through natural‑language prompts without leaving Microsoft 365.

Improved PDF table imports Tables from PDFs (without merged cells) retain structure and stay editable after import Saves time when reusing reports, documents, or learning material in Express
Controlled image swaps in templates (Teams & Enterprise) Template owners can restrict where images can be swapped from (brands, libraries, projects) Keeps designs on‑brand while still giving creators flexibility
Comment on locked objects Comments can now be added even when objects are locked Makes feedback clearer without risking accidental design changes
Multi‑select brand elements Multiple brand assets can be selected and managed together Speeds up brand kit updates and reduces repetitive work
Multi‑select layers from layer panel Multiple layers can be selected directly from the layer stack Makes editing complex designs faster and more intuitive
Transform ordinary photos into product shots

Introduced a prompt‑based AI Assistant that lets creators explore, create, and edit designs using natural language while preserving selected elements. Available from the AI Assistant on the Edit Image page or the Image Effects panel.

Makes creation and iteration faster by reducing manual effort, helping creators refine designs and experiment more efficiently while staying in control.
Move captions on canvas Added the ability to automatically generate, review, edit, and style video captions directly within the Adobe Express editor. Saves time and improves accessibility by making it easy to add accurate, styled captions that boost engagement and reach for video content.

What we love about this month’s updates is that they’re practical. They’re based on real workflows and real feedback that many of you have raised here in the community. If you’ve already tried any of these features, we’d genuinely love to hear:

  • What’s helped you the most?
  • What still feels slow or missing?
  • What’s made the biggest difference in your workflow?

Drop your thoughts below and help shape what we highlight (and build) next.

Note- For upcoming updates and future releases, you can always check the Adobe Express “What’s New” page for the latest information- https://helpx.adobe.com/express/web/whats-new/whats-new.html

These updates are actually quite meaningful because they’re clearly focused on real workflow friction points rather than just adding flashy features.

The Microsoft 365 Copilot integration is probably the biggest shift here—it effectively turns Adobe Express into a contextual creation layer inside productivity tools, which is where a lot of modern design workflows are heading. That alone can significantly reduce tool-switching for teams.

The improvements around PDF table imports, multi-select layers, and brand-controlled template editing are also underrated but very practical. These are the kinds of changes that quietly save hours in enterprise design workflows, especially for marketing and content teams working at scale.

I also like the direction of the AI Assistant—moving toward natural language-driven design while still preserving user control over elements. That balance is what makes these tools actually usable in professional environments rather than just experimental.

Overall, it feels like Adobe is tightening the gap between “design tool” and “workflow system,” not just improving editing features.

I’ve also seen similar discussions around workflow automation and AI-assisted creative tools on modfyp.pk, especially how modern platforms are evolving to reduce manual effort while improving consistency across teams.

These updates actually feel very workflow-focused, especially the multi-select improvements and the AI assistant integration.

The “comment on locked objects” change is also a small but really meaningful quality-of-life improvement it removes a lot of friction in team feedback loops.

One thing I’m curious about: with the Microsoft 365 Copilot integration, how tightly is the Express editing experience embedded? For example, can users fully iterate designs inside Copilot, or does it still hand off to the full Express editor for more complex edits?

Also, the brand control + template restrictions feel like a strong direction for enterprise use cases. It’s interesting to see Express moving closer to a structured brand workflow tool rather than just a lightweight design editor.

Looking forward to seeing how the AI assistant evolves in real editing scenarios

Hi @johnsmite,

Great questions—thanks for sharing this perspective.

Today, the Microsoft 365 Copilot integration is designed to help users get started quickly with content creation. For more detailed or iterative design work, users are guided into the full Adobe Express editor, where they have access to the complete set of editing and customization capabilities.

This approach helps keep the Copilot experience lightweight while still ensuring nothing is lost when deeper edits are needed.

For brand controls and template restrictions-  These capabilities are intentionally built to support enterprise‑scale workflows, where brand consistency, governance, and speed matter just as much as creative flexibility. We see Express evolving to support both individual creativity and structured, brand‑led production across teams.

Regards,

Tarun

Really solid set of updates 👍 These feel genuinely practical, especially the Copilot integration and improved PDF imports—both will save a lot of time in real workflows. I also like the focus on collaboration features like comments on locked objects. Excited to see how these improvements keep evolving based on user feedback

Are there plans to add an audio track? 2 is very limiting. Recorded voiceover, sound effects, and music is a minimum. I see you can record a 3rd voiceover track, but most voiceover recording is not best done that way. Please add one more audio track ability.

Hi @WaltSaylor,

Thanks for reaching out! Apologies for the delay. Could you please let us know what happens when you work on the 3rd voiceover track?

Regards,

Tarun

Danke schon mal. :)

Hi @lieselo - I moved your comment to the relevant thread - the product team is aware and is working on updating things so the scheduler will recognize the new Instagram sizing!
