Hello!

We’re introducing updated submission limits for Adobe Stock Contributors to help maintain the strength and quality of our growing collection. These updates support the continued success of both our Contributor community and customers alike.

When you reach your weekly submission limit or the maximum amount of allowed content pending moderation, you will experience a temporary pause before you can submit additional content.

My Personal Experience With Adobe Stock - Please Read Before Contributing

If you are selling or planning to sell photos, videos or other content through Adobe Stock, I would like to share my personal experience.

I opened an Adobe Stock Contributor account in 2021. My contributor ID was [211133425].

Over time, my account accumulated approximately US$298.17 in earnings. When I initiated the payout process, my account was deactivated about nine days later.

I contacted Adobe Stock support more than 20 times by email and repeatedly requested a clear explanation for the deactivation. I specifically asked Adobe Stock to clearly tell me what mistake, rule violation, copyright issue or other problem had resulted in the deactivation of my account. Despite sending more than 20 emails, I did not receive a clear and satisfactory explanation of the specific reason. I was instead directed to submit an appeal/form, but I still did not receive a clear explanation of what rule I had allegedly violated.

Most of the content I had submitted consisted of my original wildlife photography, particularly Indian fox photographs. I had approximately 4,500 photographs in this collection, showing different behaviours and movements of the animals.

Around the same period, I received a notification about a sale involving my Indian fox images with a value of approximately US$197.51. I do not know who the buyer was or whether this transaction had any connection with the subsequent account deactivation.

I want to make one thing clear: I cannot say that the sale caused my account to be deactivated, because Adobe never clearly told me that. I am only describing the sequence of events that happened in my case.

To the best of my knowledge, I had not knowingly violated Adobe Stock's rules or infringed anyone's copyright. I therefore found it very disappointing that, despite contacting Adobe Stock more than 20 times, I could not obtain a clear explanation regarding my account and pending earnings.

Later, I opened an account with Shutterstock and uploaded my photographs there. I uploaded the same original photographs to Shutterstock that I had previously submitted to Adobe Stock. Some of my images were sold and I successfully received approximately US$38.14 in my Indian bank account without facing the same issue.

After that, I continued working with Shutterstock and successfully transferred approximately US$110 from my Shutterstock earnings to my bank account.

It is important to mention that the photographs I uploaded to Shutterstock were the same original photographs that I had also submitted to Adobe Stock. Based on my experience, I was able to sell my original photographic work through Shutterstock and successfully receive my earnings, whereas my experience with Adobe Stock was completely different.

I am sharing my personal experience here based on what actually happened to me. I have also mentioned my Contributor ID so that anyone who wishes to verify the facts can understand that this is not a made-up story. I have worked hard for years, spent my time and creativity building my photography collection, and after all those years of effort, this is the outcome I experienced.

I am sharing this reality with you because I do not want anyone else to work for years, invest their valuable time and creativity, and later regret the decision as I did. I believe people should know about real experiences before making their own decisions.

What you choose to do or not do is entirely up to you. You are intelligent enough to make your own decision. I am simply putting my experience and the facts of my case in front of you so that you can decide for yourself.

    Your sincerely,

Hey everyone, I’ve noticed that a large number of Adobe Stock contributor accounts have recently been suspended around the same time, and many contributors seem to have received the same or very similar templated email stating that their accounts were blocked due to policy violations.

Could Adobe please clarify what is actually happening? A lot of contributors are confused because the emails don’t clearly explain the specific issue or what caused the suspension.

It would really help if Adobe could provide some clarification about whether there is a broader issue or a particular policy being enforced recently, so contributors can understand what’s going on and what steps they can take to resolve it.

. High download in my accounts. I do not know who did this, but this unusual activity caused my account to be blocked.
I already sent an email regarding this issue 6 to 7 months ago, but I have not received any response yet.
Please kindly review my case and help me restore my account. I am ready to provide any necessary information to prove my ownership and secure the account.
Thank you for your time and help.
    Best regards,

Please help me. I’m new to Adobe Stock and want to know which types of images are selling the most right now. I don’t know what to create. Could experienced contributors please guide me on popular niches and image types? I would really appreciate your help.

On the upload page for istock contributors, I keep getting a red bar stating “There was an issue loading the page. Please refresh the page” Does this have something to do with the new upload restrictions? I have refreshed the page every way I know how, but nothing works. ?? I have been uploading for over a year and never seen this message before?

    Hello everyone,
I’m a new Adobe Stock contributor and currently have 306 accepted images, with 6 sales so far.
Is this a reasonable start for a new contributor?

Regarding rejections — I’ve had around 200 images rejected, mostly due to similar content, not because of quality or technical issues.
Is this considered a high rejection rate, and do you have any advice on how to improve or reduce “similar content” rejections?

Thank you in advance for your guidance and insights!

It's frustrating to try and circumvent the "similars" rejection algorithm since it often makes no sense at all. I have had truly unique images deleted. Submit very small batches in which no two images are at all similar. If you have multiple images from the same series on the same subject, separate them into different batches submitted in different days. I submit only 4-5 images a day.

You're off to a good start. Continuing to grow your portfolio slowly with unique images, accurately and thoroughly titled and keyworded, Will help you to attain a regular stream of sales.
