We're happy to announce the Public release of Adobe Bridge 16.0.5

This July 2026 release of Adobe Bridge includes security fixes.

Note: As always, the update will be rolled out incrementally. If you do not see the update in the Creative Cloud Desktop app, please wait until we roll out the public update to all users.

To update Bridge to 16.0.5, click "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop app next to Bridge. More detailed instructions for updating

Adobe says it is because Microsoft have ended extended support. HOWEVER that is wrong Microsoft has extended the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for personal devices until October 12, 2027.

I do not wish to update to Windows 11, if Adobe Persists with this attitude with the paid for products then they will likely lose my subscription along with a lot of others.

It is likely that Microsoft are influencing Adobe to encourage more users to update.

I will add my voice to the displeasure of these practices to whoever we can contact.

This saddens me.

My whole department refuses to upgrade to Windows 11 due to company privacy concerns. We've hardened our Windows 10 Enterprise install and will stay on it for as long as possible.

I assume all Adobe products will soon push to Windows 11… So we’re not going to pay for 0 updates.

We're able to use Blender (which I use like Photoshop), DaVinci Resolve, Affinity v2, and Canvas Enterprise. And now that Blender has improved its video editing and effects, I'm good there. Beta testing the new Blick Editor built off
the Odin language ... omg, once this releases we'll be fully off Adobe. I think we'll spend a few weeks slowly migrating away starting today.

I started using Bridge 2026 just a few months ago until the 16.0.4 update bombed on Windows 10. Not happy, removed Bridge and CC app from the PC. I tried the 16.0.5 install today and it recognised I run W10 and installed 16.0.3 instead. Everything appears to work now, result!

The optics are that, like Microsoft, Adobe is now “forcing” an O/S upgrade for those that do not want to use Windows 11x.

Want the latest from us? You now need to upgrade your O/S and/or hardware.

I’ll be sticking with 16.0.3 for a while, then.

I think Adobe is pushing it too far. Nowadays, there are valid alternatives out there, and honestly, I’m starting to get pretty annoyed by these business decisions. Let's talk about Bridge: they need to explain to me what on earth prevents an excellent operating system like Windows 10 from being compatible with a software whose sole purpose is to manage file storage and implement a digital negative development module—which, by the way, is the exact same one implemented in Photoshop, which is perfectly compatible with Windows 10. If the second-to-last operating system is no longer going to be compatible with Adobe applications, I will switch to other solutions, and you can forget about my subscription!

So, starting from version 16.0.5, will it no longer be compatible with Windows 10? What are the reasons for this?

After the problem with 16.0.4 on Win10, this version is now flagged “Not compatible”. Does this mean 16.0.3 will be the last version compatible with Win10?
