The July 2026 update to Camera Raw (v18.4.1) pairs the creative power of Generative Expand with a new Fullscreen Presentation mode for showcasing your work and a new autofocus points overlay for supported raw files.

What’s New

Camera Raw (v18.4.1) gives photographers more creative range and a smoother workflow. Generative Expand is ready whenever you need it, letting you extend your photo's canvas and fill the new areas with content that blends naturally with the original image. The new Full screen presentation mode lets you showcase/ review your photos in a focused manner, move through them with the arrow keys, and right-click to customize the background color and layout. A new autofocus points overlay shows your camera's focus points directly on the photo preview for supported Canon, Nikon, and Sony raw files, so you can check focus at capture time without affecting your edits or the file's metadata. This release also adds support for new lenses.
