We are thrilled to announce that the latest version of the Creative Cloud Desktop app (v6.9.0.618.1 and 6.9.0.618.5 – web-only) is now available for download and brings improvements to make your experience smoother.

What’s new / improved in 6.9:

Multi‑app update support: update multiple apps together for a better update flow
Local file support in Files tab: view local files by selecting a folder
Generation history + file search in Files: see Firefly generation history and search files by name

Why can’t we see the release note now for it when we are forced to update to use it?

Today new release 6.9.1.1 and i am forced to install it with no other option. I have no idea what the update is for because the release notes say this “April 2026 (version 6.9.1.1) - release in progress”

Kind of rude if you asked me… a forced update with no release notes available. No option to wait.

This happens on every creative cloud desktop app update.

that doesn’t fix the problem. you force people to update without option to cancel or any information about the update because the release notes havent been posted.
