Illustrator 27.1.1 | Taper and twist 3D objects, Enhancements to Image Trace and more!

Illustrator's latest (27.1) update is now available for download from the Creative Cloud Desktop application. This release offers you the option to Taper and twist 3D objects to enhance the 3D effects, Enhancements to Image Trace, and multiple bug fixes.

Taper and twist 3D objects
You can taper and twist extruded, rotated, or inflated objects to enhance the 3D effects. To learn more about Taper and Twist, see Create 3D graphics in Illustrator.
Enhancements to Image Trace
Illustrator improves Image Trace in the following ways:
- Auto-detects High Fidelity Photo, Low Fidelity Photo, Sketched Art, Line Art, and Logo art types and selects the corresponding preset for you.
- Provides cleaner output for the Sketched Art preset.
- Improves the output for small-sized images.
