Very buggy release for me:

Any other users getting this lil oddity saving error message every other day with the last 2 versions I wanna say? Like, it always then lets me save said file, but the error message itself is new to me in all my 15+ years of using the software 🤔 🤔 Other stuff happens too.

Hello, two updates ago, "export as" started adding the name of the artboard (Suffix) to the end of the filename even with Suffix being unchecked. To get around this, everytime I restart Illustrator I have to go through the process of 1. Exporting a file (with Suffix unchecked). 2. Deleting the file because it has the suffix added. 3. Exporting the file again with Suffix checked. 4. Deleting that file because it has the suffix added. 5. Exporting the file again with Suffix unchecked. 6. File finally saved without the Suffix.

We export a lot of files where I work and everyone in my department is having the same glitch, so just wanted to let you know.

I just wanted to add that the glitch goes away once I go through the process above and the files export without the suffix like normal, but the process has to be repeated everytime Illustrator is closed and restarted.

Issue: After the last Illustrator update, I've got a new issue where I cannot save the file and quit Illustrator as usual. This happens from time to time, not with each single file, but still. When I press close, it asks if I wanna save the file (usual), then I save the file, but nothing happens, and then I cannot quit Illustrator, and it all over again and again. I can ONLY force quit via Activity Monitor. Then reopen the Illustrator to receive the recovered file. This has been happening every day since the last update, and it is so annoying.

Hello! I installed the 29.7.1 version of Illustrator, and now my file will not save and it won't let me copy and paste into new files. What is going on with this?! I have never (in 20+ years of using illustrator) had an issue this bad. I've lost work that's due today and am now scrambling to rebuild in...I guess InDesign?!

I'm sorry you're having the same problem! I ended up installing a version of Illustrator from a year ago, and so far so good (knocking on wood)

Are there any updates or a rough roadmap for when UXP will be released for Adobe Illustrator plugins, similar to other products such as Photoshop?

Hello,

I've installed the 29.7.1 version of Illustrator and now I have a reocurring problem when I try to copy and paste something.

The app closes itself and there's an error popup message.

I've reinstalled the previous version and the same thing happens.

Am I alone on this? :(((((((

I'm also having this issue. It doesn't matter if it's a shape or text. If I copy/paste, it just freezes and immediately shuts down.

Nobody asked for 'recently used colours' so turned it off straight away.

Now all my colour swatches keep disappearing while i'm working, until i click one of the view-style buttons in the top right of the palette then they reappear. Never had this issue before this update.
