AI Assistant now in Illustrator (Beta)!

Illustrator (Beta) v30.7 now has an AI Assistant to support you with your production workflows. It analyzes your Illustrator document, helps make decisions, recommends actions and executes multi-step workflows using natural prompt language.

AI Assistant is a production-focused assistant that understands your document in terms of layers, artboards, colors, text, artwork and its context and then tries to determine the actions required to execute multi-step production workflows with ease.

It’s designed to support you with repetitive, structural and production level workflows such as organizing documents, updating content across objects and artboards, preparing for export, running production checks and even suggesting workflows needed for your goal.

Think of the AI Assistant as a production partner that takes care of repetitive, time-consuming tasks, so you can spend more time doing what matters most: designing, creating, and making creative decisions.

AI Assistant is optimized for production workflows, helping you automate tasks such as:

• Batch edits
• File cleanup and organization
• Export and handoff workflows
• Quality checks before delivery or print

A few examples:

• Rename layers based on the content.
• Run quality checks before sending files to print.
• Replace text, colors, or other elements across your document at scale.
• Organize complex files in seconds.

But this is just the beginning. We’re excited to see what workflows you discover.

The AI Assistant is now available in Illustrator (Beta) v30.7 & above.

• Open/ Update to Illustrator Beta (v30.7 or later).
• Click the new AI Assistant button in the top-right corner of the application bar.
• The Assistant panel will open. (The assistant will work only on an open/ active document.)
• Describe the task you want done in a natural language prompt.

Pro tip: The more specific you are, the better the results. Tell Assistant both:

• What you want it to do
• Any constraints or things you want it to avoid
