Beta Build 30.9.32 Release Notes
Hello,
Latest Beta Build 30.9.32 is now available in CCD. We have below fixes in this build:
AI Assistant — Beta Release Notes
Following our last beta drop , here's the next batch of AI Assistant improvements — now live in the latest Illustrator Beta. This release is focused on making Skills fully manageable from the UI, smoother file attachments, and squashing a set of high-priority stability bugs you flagged.
A quick reminder — what the Assistant is: your product partner that takes on the repetitive, time-consuming work, so you can spend more time designing and creating.
What's new
- Manage Skills directly from the UI
Skills are no longer just create-and-run — you can now create, edit, and delete them without retyping anything.
- Create & edit Skills from a dedicated Skill editor.
- Kick off the edit flow straight from the / menu(button or keypress).
- Delete a Skill from the UI, including from within an active session.
- Cleaner, more consistent Skill file naming.
How to use: Type / in the Assistant field to browse your Skills, then create, edit, or delete right from there.
- Faster ways to attach files
Getting your references into the Assistant is quicker and more natural.
- Paste to attach:copy an image or take a screenshot and pressCtrl+Vto upload it directly.
- Copy-paste files:Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V any file straight into the chat.
- Attachment-only messages:send files without needing to type a prompt.
How to use: Copy an image/file (or screenshot), click into the Assistant panel, and paste with Ctrl+V — or use the "+" icon as before.
Fixes & stability
- Newly created objects now stay selected when you ask the Assistant to keep them selected.
- Locked-layer detection— the active layer's lock state is now reported correctly, so draw operations no longer fail silently.
- The Assistant no longer produces vector art when you ask for an image.
- Create image + Image Trace no longer times out with 0x100009.
How to open the Assistant
- Open Illustrator Beta (v30.7 or later).
- Click the AI Assistant button in the top-right of the application bar.
- Describe the task you want done.
