Beta Build 30.9.52 Release Notes

Latest Beta Build 30.9.52 is now available in CCD. We have below fixes in this build:

• Quick Skill Guide in Illustrator:

Build your Illustrator skills right inside the app with the Quick Skill Guide - a guided Skill Builder that walks you through essential tools and features, hands-on. Pick a skill, and Illustrator opens a ready-made sample file where you can follow each step, paired with a short video to help you get the hang of it. A progress ring tracks how far you've come as you complete each tutorial.

How to Use:

1. Click the new bulb icon to open the Quick Skill Guide.
2. Select a skill you'd like to learn.
3. Choose a step-by-step tutorial, with an accompanying video, and follow along on the sample file that opens.
4. Watch the progress ring update as you complete each tutorial in the skill.

• Dynamic Text:

Dynamic Text is now live in the Illustrator beta. Text auto-resizes and reflows to fit its container as you scale or reshape it. Best part for us: it also works on Type on a Path, so any curve you draw gets the same fit-to-space behavior. Give it a spin and tell us what you think in the thread; your feedback is shaping what ships.
How to get started

1. Select the Type tool. Click to add a line of text, drag to create a text area, or select an existing type object.
2. Turn on Dynamic Text from the Contextual Task Bar or the Properties panel.
3. Resize or reshape the bounding box to see the text fit itself

• AI Assistance

Concept to Vector via Assistant
 Illustrator’s faster, more flexible way to convert sketches or images into usable vector or raster artwork is now available directly through the AI Assistant.
Callable directly via the Assistant:

• The AI Assistant can trace raster images to vector art using Image Trace — ask it to vectorize a selected or placed image.
• The AI Assistant can turn a sketch or image into vector or raster artwork using Concept to Vector — ask it to convert a selected or placed image.

Inline suggestions in chat
When the chat input is empty, its placeholder shows a suggested prompt in dimmer text (e.g. “Add a bold headline (Tab)“) — press Tab to drop it into the composer, then Enter to send.

• Brushes Libraries content refresh

Brushes Libraries just got a refresh! Explore new content and options in the latest beta build.

• User Voice Fixes

1. Choose Artboard selection from the Show drop-down in the status bar.
2. The status bar will display the number of artboards selected on the canvas or in the Artboard panel.
