What's New
We're excited to introduce the GenAI Hub - your new centralized, in-app destination for all generative AI credit activity in Illustrator.
Overview
The GenAI Hub makes it easier than ever to stay on top of your generative credits - from checking your balance to understanding exactly which features consume credits and how many.
Key Features
Credits Balance
Get a clear, real-time snapshot of your credit usage at a glance:
View your current credit balance and total credits available under your plan
- Know exactly when your next credit reset is scheduled
Features Tab
Understand the credit cost for every generative feature available on your plan:
Browse a full list of generative features (e.g. Generate Vector, Generative Shape Fill, Generative Expand, and more)
See the credit cost per use for each model option
- Features marked as Unlimited do not draw from your credit balance
Purchase Credits
Running low? A Buy Now option is always accessible directly from the Hub, making it seamless to top up your credits.
How to Access
The GenAI Hub is accessible via the Generative Credits icon in the app header bar.

Style Reference - Updated
What’s New
Style Reference just got more flexible. You can now select reference assets directly from your local file system - no need to have the artwork placed in your document first. Whether you’re working with images or vector files, bringing in external references is now as seamless as opening a file browser.
Overview
Previously, Style Reference only allowed you to pick reference artwork already placed within the active document. While that workflow remains available, this update adds the ability to browse and select files from outside Illustrator.
What’s Changed
Choose Asset from Local Files
Click “Choose an Asset” to open your system file browser and select a reference file from your local storage
- Supported file types: PNG, JPEG, JPG, SVG, AI
- The file browser automatically filters to show only supported formats - unsupported file types will be grayed out and unavailable for selection
Enable Option - Image or Vector
- In the file browser, use the Enable option to specify whether you want to reference images or vectors
Eyedropper Still Available
- The eyedropper icon, placed next to the “Choose an Asset” button, continues to work as before - letting you pick reference artwork directly from the existing document when needed
Replacing an Asset
- Already added a reference? The same file browser workflow applies when you click “Replace Asset” - simply browse and swap in a new file without losing your current settings

Clear Recent File List: You can now clear files from your Recent Files via File > Open Recent Files > Clear Recent File List. Try it out in the current beta and let us know how it works for you.

Magic Want Tool Update: The Magic Wand tool will now remember your tolerance settings between sessions - no more resetting your values every time you relaunch Illustrator. Try it out in the current beta and share your feedback.
