Lightroom Classic v15.6 brings a smoother editing experience with improved Reflection Removal, making it easier to clean up reflections in windows, glass, and water. This release also introduces faster masking controls with Check All and Check None options, along with support for new cameras, lenses, and important bug fixes.

What’s New

The September 2026 release of Lightroom Classic v15.6 brings meaningful improvements designed to make photo editing faster and more precise. The standout enhancement is Reflection Removal, which now delivers cleaner results when removing reflections from windows, glass surfaces, and even water. The updated technology reduces smudges and ghosting artifacts, helping photographers recover details more naturally in challenging scenes.

This release also streamlines masking workflows with new Check All and Check None options in the Masking panel. When creating landscape or people masks, you can now instantly select or clear all available mask options with a single click instead of making selections individually.

In addition, Lightroom Classic expands support for newly released cameras and lenses, including Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max camera systems, Google Pixel 11 series devices, OM Digital Solutions PEN cameras, and several new lenses from Sony, Sigma, Leica, and Laowa.

Is anyone here having issues withsystem performance?  LRC is extremely slow and using close to 95% of my CPU.  Even when just sitting there doing nothing the utilization is betweem 60 and 80%.

Sliders are jumping in the develop module!  Once i click a slider and move it even the slightest amount, it jumps alllll the way to the left.

Same problem, until they fix it you can use the value number of the slider by clicking and drag left or right

For some reason, now I can’t cull while forcing LRc to only show standard previews, by changing the name of the folder were the RAW files are (and not have generated Smart Reviews, otherwise they load of course).

Now it just shows an empty grey window with “image missing” where before I also saw “Image missing” overlay, but I could still see the standard preview in Develop mode. I can still see them in Library mode. But that’s not nearly as fast to load and cull.

Can anyone confirm this? Maybe someone who used the same technique to quickly rate & cull thousands of photos? It would be a shame if this is permanent, because it was an alternative to things like PhotoMechanic. Why take away such an important and helpful feature, even it was not officially part of the workflow?

I installed the latest version of LRC on September 29, 2026; I was using LRC on September 28, 2026 without issue. Now when going to the develop module in the updated version I am told there are no files. Yet I see the files in Library module. What is wrong?

I am having a great deal of difficulty with LRC at present. Its slow and when in develop mode the controls move but it does nothing to the photo. Ie: for instance slide the exposure alters the histogram but not the actual image. Then the image has a ghost affect of another image around it. This continuously happens until it locks up and the only way to fix it is to optimise and restart lightroom. Seems like there is always one issue or another and I am sure its not my computer?

There’s a serious bug in this release! After updating last night, in Develop module the slider controls are broken. The cursor doesn’t stick to the slider control point and the control point flips itself to the far left end on its own. The preview does not update after making adjustment in Develop module, but the adjustment is visible in Navigator and Library module.

Van Camp, I 100% agree 👍. Focus point display has been asked of Adobe before, and they continue to refuse to listen to their subscribers $$$. Adobe fails to realize they are NOT the only editing software available.

Is it possible to make a tool to find you focus point like in your camera that you can see straight away where it is , very important , thanks
