Lightroom Classic

I just need to know who to go to to explain my story so I can reinstall and license Lightroom to my new computer. I’ve used it since it was first released, I can’t do without it. Can someone please explain the process?So my computer died on me and following tech advice, I checked the SSD, and the RAM, and DISM, and a bunch of other things until finally I was asked to use Window’s own repair tool. It was not straightforward but eventually I had to reinstall windows but keep all my old files. But Windows crashed again and eventually I ended up with nothing, computer completely wiped. It turns out there was a chip and a couple of small components burned out on the motherboard. Anyway, the only problem I have with the new computer is installing all the software back onto it. Lightroom v6.14 is the only one that causes a problem as I have to use the licence, but if I did not deactivate the licence previously (which I could not do) then I can’t reactivate it. (Sorry for the long story but th

I have a problem that currently clicked photo sometimes is not being shown in Preview in Develop mode. This is especially annoying when having a series of photos (burst) and you want to find the best one by clicking on the bottom miniatures - you don’t know if the preview was really refreshed or not.On the screenshot below I was able to catch that glitch on very a different photos so you can see the problem - the selected miniature is the one with blue sky, but LR still displays the other photo. It seems that LR registered the “click” properly as it selected the “blue” image on miniatures panel, but somehow lost the event to repaint/refresh the main preview window. To preview “blue” image I would need to click on another photo, and again the “blue” one. I’ve seen that since a couple of versions of Lightroom Classic.OS: macOS (26.3.1), MacBook Pro 14” 2023LR: 13.3, Camera Raw: 18.3 Incorrect image is displayed 

I have been able to see those options, up by the Histogram before. 

Just updated to the newest release and masking is not working.

I have more than a hundred folders on a drive and need to move some of them to a different drive. I’m working on a 27” iMac. I can’t drag the folder to the other drive because the screen doesn’t scroll down to where the other drive is (visually). If I could right click on the folder I want to move it would be more convenient. But this doesn’t seem possible. Any solution to the dragging approach? 

Lightroom Classic 15.3 on Mac. Auto Sync is enabled and working for Profiles, Presets and Denoise across multiple selected images. However Basic Develop sliders (Exposure, White Balance, Contrast etc.) affect only the first/active image. Preferences reset, catalog optimization and restart did not fix it.Seems like a bug affecting Develop parameter synchronization.

Merge to HDR in LrC 15.3 is stalling (beach ball) or not responding.  I frequently merge HDR images for Real Estate photos and today, after updating to LrC 15.3 I had to Force Quit from LrC multiple times to regain control of LrC.  I stacked my bracketed shots and used CTRL+H to merge.  LrC did process a couple before stalling.  After multiple attempts resulting in Force Closing, I tried using the menu commands, no change.  I then uninstalled 15.3 and reinstalled a fresh copy of 15.3 and the HDR problem continued.  Finally I uninstalled 15.3 and downgraded to 15.2.1 and the Merge to HDR function worked as expected.  

The Windows icons for .lrcat files have been missing for several months. See attachments containing “NOK”.I fixed this for LrC 15.2 by changing the Windows registry entry HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AdobeLightroom7.lrcat\DefaultIcon from "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\Lightroom.exe",5 to"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic\Lightroom.exe",1See attachments containing “OK”.After installing LrC 15.2.1, the registry entry reverted to '5', which caused the icons to go missing.

I’m noticing that the left hand panel in Lightroom Classic scrolls really sluggishly and jerks / jumps around.   I’m running MacOS 26.4 and it has been like this for quite some time (not just on 26).It’s really hard to scroll precisely, you have to sort of wait for it to catch up.   Rather annoying.

This post applies to Camera Raw and Lightroom Classic.   Dust Removal is no longer in Early Access status and can be found in the Remove edit panel for Camera Raw & Lightroom Classic. Dust Removal helps with removing distracting spots on an image that may be caused by dust on a camera's sensor.   Once enabled, your image will be scanned, and any detected dust spots will be automatically removed using Content-Aware Remove. For refinement, you can select one or multiple spots to delete or refresh. Batch removal is also supported; simply select the "Dust" checkbox under "Remove" in the copy settings dialog.Please note that scanned negatives are not in the scope of this feature at this time.    Dust spots on scans tend to be located in the focal plane, with the negative and very sharp, while sensor dust is typically positioned out of the focal plane and therefore not in focus. After upgrading to v15.2, the Library Filters cannot be enabled. Clicking the Library menu ‘Enable Filters’ will just give Library Filters Off each time is it clicked. The check mark remains on the Enable Filters menu. Using the hotkey Ctrl-L  does not work either, just keep saying Library Filters Off. No way to enable the Library Filters. I have also restarted my Windows 11, and still cannot enable Library Filters.

Je souhaite appliquer un profil lineaire à mes photo lors de l'importation dans LRc, un tel profil est déterminé pour une camera bien précise.Ce qui se passait avant et qui me convenais:J'avais importé un profil (chez Tony Kuyper) pour mon eos R6 et je l'ai installé via caméra raw en PS comme recommandé. A l'import des photos en LRc ce profil était disponible et utilisable.Maintenant je suis passé au R6mk3. J'ai donc imorté et installé le profil adequat. Il est disponible dans camera raw et aussi dans le module développement de LRc mais il n'est pas disponible à l'importation des photos. De plus comme je n'ai pas le bon profil je marque l'option "sans profil" à l'importation mais LRc semble appliquer le profil R6 (ancien) tout en spécifiant après dans le module dev qu'il est manquantA cette étape je peut cliquer les 2 triangle et choisir le profil R6mk3.Merci de votre aideThierrySur le PC, dans... cameraRaw>cameraProfiles>imported, il y a l'ancien profil R6.dcp et le nouveau R6mk

I use lrc 15.2 on macbook pro  [new m5pro with 48g ram]I found that the disk was written in a huge amount, reaching 10GB in about 10 minutes. The corresponding process is launcher. Then I used the sudo fs_usage - w - f file sys command to finally locate the file/private/var/folders/g8/47gdc5wn4yx370flbr2cms5m0000gn/T/cr_ sdk_00258352. tmp to write, which may be cr_stk_00xxxxx. tmp.These files have been continuously written but not read. My temporary solution is to create a ramdisk and mount it to/private/var/folders/g8/47gdc5wn4yx370flbr2cms5m0000gn/T to slow down hard disk consumption.

LRC 15.3Windows 11 Step to reproduceConfigure auto import. Don’t rename and don’t apply any preset. Keep is simple  Auto import settings  Copy a photo in the auto import folder. The photo is imported automaticly Launch a normal import with the "don’t import suspected duplicates" box checked Point to the initial folder were the photo was (not the auto-import one) The photo that is already in the catalog is not greyed. You can reimport it and create a duplicate even if you ask to avoid duplicates. Kind regards
