Hi Everybody,

We are pleased to share that the backend infrastructure for UXP plugins has been updated and is now available in the Photoshop Beta build starting with Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.8.0 20260510.m.3537.

This update ensures a more consistent look and feel for Photoshop UXP plugins across Creative Cloud applications and lays the foundation for future UI enhancements and shared capabilities.

This change is not expected to affect UI look and feel of most of your UXP plugins, but please do let us know in case if you notice functional or visual changes in your favorite plugins.

Thanks,
Photoshop Team

Since 27.8 and up all my Photoshop plugins are very very slow or don’t work at all because of the poor performance. I also dislike that I can’t install an older version in parallel anymore to test which one works.

If you mean official releases (not beta) – You can only not install multiple versions within the same main version in parallel. Different main versions (e.g., 2026 and 2025) can be installed side by side. So if the latest 2026 version is installed, you can also install 2025 (26.11.7) alongside it.

Which plugins are you using? Does it also happen in the release version?
