Turn Your PDFs Into Interactive Experiences with PDF Spaces

Hey everyone, Joe here.

Tired of sending recipients a pile of attachments and hoping they piece it together? I want to show you PDF Spaces, a new way to bring your files, ideas, and a customized AI assistant together into one interactive experience. 

What you need: An Acrobat Studio subscription or the AI Assistant add-on. This isn't part of the free Acrobat tier. Recipients you share with don't need an account or subscription to view it. 

What you can do: Combine up to 100 files into one space, auto-generate an editable title, summary, and audio overview, reorder and rename files to highlight what matters most, add your branding, and give your AI assistant a personalized intro and persona based on your audience.

Open Acrobat, go to All Tools, and select Create a PDF Space. Add your files, and the space is ready to customize and share.

Good to know: 

  • Available on Acrobat desktop, web, and mobile (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) 
  • Currently supports English, French, and German, with more languages coming 
  • Choose Private, Organization, or Public when sharing; Public links need no sign-in, so avoid them for sensitive content 

Once it's shared, invite teammates as contributors, track who's exploring your content, and let recipients get instant answers from your AI assistant instead of emailing you back and forth.

      This is exactly the problem I run into. I prepare inventory reports for landlords and letting agents, and right now a single tenancy means a pile of separate PDFs, the check-in report, room-by-room photos, meter readings, and then the EPC and compliance documents on top. Landlords and tenants have to piece it together themselves, and half the time the photos get separated from the report they belong to. One Space per property, with the summary first and the photos and certificates in order behind it, sounds much cleaner, especially the branding and the audio overview, because most tenants sign the report without really reading it. Two questions before I try it on a live check-in: 1. Does the AI assistant only answer from the files inside that Space, or can it pull in outside information? For a deposit dispute, I need it to stick to what is actually in the report. 2. For tenant details, is Private sharing practical per recipient, and can you see who has actually opened the Space? A Public link with no sign-in feels too open for a report with a tenant's name and address in it. Keen to try this, if the assistant stays inside the Space and the sharing stays controlled, this could replace the email-attachment mess completely.

      This is a great way to make PDFs more engaging and useful. Instead of just reading static documents, turning them into interactive experiences can help users understand information faster and collaborate more effectively. Adding features like discussions, AI assistance, and smart organization can make PDFs much more valuable for learning, business, and research purposes.

      This is an interesting approach to organizing PDFs and related resources in one place. I like the idea of combining files with summaries and an AI assistant, especially when sharing information with people who may not have an account. The ability to customize the space and organize files also seems useful for keeping larger projects easier to follow. It could be a practical option for teams, educators, and anyone who regularly shares multiple documents.

      You've highlighted a really useful part of PDF Spaces: bringing related documents and information together without making recipients navigate multiple attachments.

      And yes, recipients can access a publicly shared PDF Space through a link without needing an Adobe account or subscription. You can also customize the Overview to help people understand the content and decide where to start.

        We hear your frustration and appreciate you taking the time to raise these concerns. Accessibility is incredibly important, and we understand how challenging it can be to ensure PDFs are accessible to everyone.

        Acrobat Pro includes tools for checking and improving PDF accessibility, including document tagging, reading order adjustments, and accessibility checks. That said, we recognize that having these tools available doesn't necessarily make every accessibility workflow as straightforward as it should be.

        We'd really like to understand which accessibility tasks are causing the most difficulty for you. Are you running into issues with tagging, reading order, tables, or something else? Knowing where you're experiencing challenges will help us better understand your feedback and share it with the relevant teams.

          This is really useful way to make shared PDFs more interactive and organized. I especially like the ability to combine multiple files with an AI assistant in one space.
