A cancelled generation caused a failure to save progress on a presentation

I had attempted to generate a texture to go over my background early in my presentation and ended up canceling it before it finished. The generation never stopped for some reason and all work after that failed to get saved and I was unable to export or share the document. When I attempted to leave the presentation I got a warning saying that a generation was not complete and that it would get canceled. I clicked okay and all progress was lost along with the generation that never took place to begin with.

Hi @Sean31459576dvb3, Thanks for the report.

The fact that canceling the generation left it running, prevented the presentation from saving, and then resulted in your subsequent work being lost is definitely something we’d want to investigate.

Could you let us know whether this happens with other presentations or AI generations, or if it was specific to this project? A screen recording of the workflow, if you’re able to reproduce it, would also be very helpful.

If you still have the project available, please check the Version History to see whether any of your recent progress has been saved. If the work is missing, I’d recommend contacting Adobe Support to see whether it can be recovered.

    Thanks for reporting this.
