Adobe Express link only gives 404 not found error msg

Hello community

I published an Express doc as a 'link only' and it worked initially.

I then had to make changes, so when done I clicked 'update link' to presumeably transfer the chnges to the file on the link. Then it said it couldn't update the file (several tries). Then I deleted the link as it suggests to 'republish'. Now I get the red error msg saying it can't publish and any previous link leads to a 404 error msg page.

I just want to generate a new public link to my latest file. Do you only get one public link per file?

Thanks for your help - am thrying to get a signed-off Annual Report to a client.

...that said, I also deleted the pages that had 'max 200 layers' and tried again, but still no luck

Thanks for trying and sharing the observations! For further investigation, I'd reach out to you via community DM. You can also find it in the top right corner of the community page.

Thanks for responding Amitej. I've not shared it with any collaboarators.

- I've tried duplicating the file, then generating a new link, same error.

- Have tried the above also in 'incognito mode', same error.

I did hit 'delete link' - does that break the link permanently? I assumed that I could just delete the link and generate a fresh one. Is this possibly the issue? As when it goes to the 404 page not found, and Adobe messages flashes up to say this page has been deleted.

If so, how do I force it to create a new, fresh link? I've tried another new file (just a single page with image) and that generated a 'link only' just fine.

Two of the pages also have 'max 200 layers' when layers are showing - could this be the issue? This is due to outlined type (so the tracking didn't go wayward as its from InDesign).

Thanks for your help!

...have also tried duplicating the document, no luck, and also deleting various pages to see if it was an issue with the doc itself

Hi @timc57343945, Welcome to our Adobe Express community, and thanks for reaching out!

Can you please confirm if the project was shared or had any collaborators? If you delete the link and then create a new one for the same project, a different link will be created, and the older one will show a 404 error.

Can you try the same steps on a private/incognito browsing mode once and let us know how it goes?

You may need to open the project in private/incognito browsing mode, make some changes to it and then create a 'View only' link.

Let us know how it goes, we are here to help!

Best!

I have followed the guidance here

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/express/web/share-and-publish/share-and-collaborate/share-remixable-templates.html

and also results in the same "We couldn't publish your link at this time" in red

It says "We couldn't publish your link at this time" in red when I click "Update link".

I've tried logging out and back in.

It does let me copy the link (but this just goes to the 404 page not found, below...
