Adobe Express MP4 file output - 'Unsupported compression type'

I created a video reel for a town hall and the MP4 file output does not play in any video player. The error message is:

'Unsupported compression type' (Windows Media Player, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder).

The only way I could get a useable file was to create a paid Vimeo account, share the video to that account, and then download an MP4 from there.

I spent a considerable amount of time on this project to encounter this issue - quite frustrating.

Hi @scott_0146,

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about the difficulties. Did you try using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) or incognito mode to see if it makes a difference?

Also, try clearing the browser's cache and cookies, and restarting the browser and try again. For more information on how to clear cache and cookies check this link- https://adobe.ly/4a5ipUF and how to use incognito mode- https://adobe.ly/4a2UzZV

If that doesn't help, try duplicating the project and try agian to check if that helps. Also, if the project is long or has many media layers, temporarily split the timeline and download in two halves, then re‑combine.

Regards,

Tarun
