Adobe Express Video files Buffering when uploaded to learning platform

I have created several Adobe Express videos and uploaded them to a learning platform for an online course.  These files are buffering when uploaded to the learning platform.  They play correctly in preview in Adobe,  and when downloaded to computer - however they buffer at the transition to the final scene when uploaded to the learning platform.  I tested creating one of the same video lesson in Canva and it played correctly on learning platform without buffering.  I also tested compressing the files with Handbrake - however they still buffer.  The support team with the online learning platform as suggested that it is an issue withe Adobe Express video file - any ideas on what is causing the buffering issue when loaded to a learning platform (I've now tested it on two different learning platforms.

Hi -

Here are my responses to your questions.

  1. Could you confirm the export settings you used in Adobe Express? (Resolution and format) We are downloading in mp4 file format and 1080.
  2. Are you using any special effects or animations in the final scene transition? In the original file, I was using a transition with a .5s fade transition to the final scene..
  3. Approximately what is the file size of the exported videos from Adobe Express? The exported videos range 46M. to ~400M.  This is happening with multiple video files that are used for an online course.  Not all video files have the buffering issue; all videos have a transition to a final scene that is just showing an image. Of 20 lessons, 9 have the buffering issue and 11 play correctly without buffering.
  4. Have you tried exporting the same project in a different browser to see if the buffering persists? I have downloaded from Edge and from the Adobe desktop app.
  5. Which browsers and devices are you testing the uploaded videos on when you notice the buffering? Edge, Google Chrome

For one of the effected video files, I also just tried the following edits to the video file and then re-uploaded to the learning platform:

-Removing the transition effect: The video still had buffering issue right at the change from scene 2 to scene 3/final scene.

-Deleted the final scene from the video/removed final image: Video played to the full length, no buffering. (This won't work as solu because we need the final image)

-Moved the image that was in final scene to scene 2 and removed scene 3: Video played to the full length, no buffering.

Hi @Carey R B,

Welcome to the community! Thanks for reaching out and sharing these details. I understand the videos you’ve created in Adobe Express play fine in preview and after download, but buffer on the learning platforms. I’d like to gather a bit more information to help us narrow down what’s causing this behavior.

  1. Could you confirm the export settings you used in Adobe Express? (Resolution and format)
  2. Are you using any special effects or animations in the final scene transition?
  3. Approximately what is the file size of the exported videos from Adobe Express?
  4. Have you tried exporting the same project in a different browser to see if the buffering persists?
  5. Which browsers and devices are you testing the uploaded videos on when you notice the buffering?

We're here to help, just need some info.

Regards,

Tarun
