Animation timeline stops working

As of yesterday, Nov. 4, my animations on my iPad will only play when I first open a file. However, if I click on an image, which opens the image panel on the left, and then I close the panel, the timeline will, from then on, only display the image that I clicked on. Whether I manually slide the player head across the timeline or click the play button, I only see that one image. Even if I click on a different scene containing different images, I can only see that same image. The only way to reinstate proper functionality is to close and reopen the file, but once I try to actually do anything, I get stuck on a single image all over again. In other words, Adobe Express is no longer working on my iOS, and nothing changed when I updated to most current version. 

If there's a workaround to this, I'll take it.
