Audio echo created when splitting clips

On my PC when making videos it happens kind of randomly but when I try to split clips the audio creates an echo that's loud and sounds like it's underwater I tried fixing it but it created a terrible echo loop of audio making it 1,000x worse. Idk what kind of bug this is or how to fix it please help
