Autosave not working

I have been building a 5 page flier/brochure in Express for nearly a week and just now noticed autosave is not working, the last version saved was 6 days ago.  When I try exiting the document, I get a message "Autosave has not completed yet. If you close this file you will lose your recent changes. Are you sure you want to leave?" When I try to download it, I get the message "We're working on your file. You'll be able to download it soon." How can I fix this without losing my work?

I tried the workaround but since the last saved version was from days ago, basically the original file, it did me no good. Instead, I opened a new session in a different browser window and recreated it. Took about 3 hours, but all done now and saved/downloaded.

Hi @Nick15A9

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Did you have the file open in the same browser tab over the these last days?

Could you please share the URL of your file from the browser's address bar?

As for a workaround, you could try this:

  • From the '...' menu in the header, click Duplicate file
  • When prompted, open the file (this will open the duplicate file in a new tab)
  • The duplicate file will most likley have old content. You can delete it all (Select all, Delete)
  • Manually copy new content from each page to the corresponding page in the duplicate file (Select all, Copy, Paste)

Hope this helps
