I changed the background color but the color is not changing. This wasn't an issue until today and my old files with colors I've already changed still work

I am no longer experiencing this issue. Thank you for your attempts to help resolve the reason for the incorrectly colored background. I appreciate that you took the time to respond and investigate. I do not know what changed but the background color is able to change correctly now. 🙂

@Tarun Saini
I also just noticed in the first screenshot I sent you that the background color I selected is bordering the artboard with around a single pixel of thickness, even though the inside of my workspace remained white. This is the same file in Express and I have changed the background to a lime green, so you can see the 1 px border of that green outlining the graphic.

Hope this is helpful towards a resolution! 🙂

Hi

@Muirschners

,

Thanks for your patience. Is it happening with all the files? Can you share the project URL with us to investigate further? You can also, share via private message with the title of the issue.

Tarun

I show this error in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers.

However, I have recently noticed one nuance that seems to affect whether the error occurs. If I start a new blank document in Express, the background color will change to my selection. If I upload any images or start a document from an upload, the background color will not be able to be changed.

In the attached screenshot, I uploaded a PSD file containing a few small images and removed all of the layers. You can see in this example that nothing should be obstructing the background, as there are no layers, but selecting any background color still leaves a white background for me.

I cleared my cache and cookies but still observe the problem.
Because I am using Express from my work computer, I am unable to have extensions installed that might affect it.

Please let me know if you have other suggestions for me to try to resolve this with you. I am more than happy to comply with troubleshooting steps, so that I may be able to use Express more efficiently in my work.

Thank you sincerely for your time and response,

Danielle Muir

Same issue.
It started randomly about a month ago. Everything that had a colored background is still correct but every new Express file I make since then will not reflect the background color I've selected.

I've tried a number of ways to duplicate files and upload them over again, the problem persists no matter what I do.

I have only found an inconvenient workaround for this, no real resolution.

Make a shape that covers your dimensions, color it, and send it to the back.

Please help. I use this for work and it has been making my work take more time, which means I am disappointing my employer with slower work turnover.

Hi

@innovative_detail5C0B

@Muirschners

,

Thanks for your patience. First, I would like to know if you've tried using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) to see if it makes a difference. Also, did you try clearing the browser's cache and cookies to see if that helps?

Also, if you've recently made any changes to your browser, let us know. Try disabling the pop-blocker or if there are any third-party extensions that you've recently installed.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Tarun
