Batch Download to Animated Gif exports wrong dimension size

Whenever I select Download and select multiple pages to export as an animated gif, the resulting dimension size is different to the set dimension of the pages. Not sure why this is happening. Single download works fine, just when bulk downloading.

Ex. a 728 x 90 pixel animated banner = becomes 1254 x 156 pixels

I also cannot select quality (Small, Medium, High) in bulk download (Selected pages and All Pages)

Hi everyone, thanks for bumping this, and apologies for the delay here!.

The original issue @rom.po & @DanaW1234 reported in Sept’25 was actually fixed back then; we just dropped the ball on updating this thread, which is on us.

For what @minh khuep77509101, @AlintaEnergy5000 , and @Jordan35290510yevl are seeing now: since you're hitting it on the current build, it's most likely a new occurrence rather than the old bug coming back.

I'd rather investigate it cleanly. To get a head start, could you share:

  • dimensions you set vs. what you got
  • number of pages in the batch
  • whether it's every batch or intermittent
  • a short recording of the workflow and the output

Also, @Jordan35290510yevl, really appreciate you sharing the workaround for the community in the meantime.

Best!

Hello @Amitej S
I am having this issue right now. I can only batch medium quality. That exports a crisp file at the right ratio but not the exact dimensions.

If I export it individually at high quality, it exports the right dimension but is blurry. I have 9 banners that I am trying to create that are due to the pub by tuesday. Is this a bug?

Since no one at Adobe has seemed to have the answer for the over the past few years I found something that worked for me:

Download each individual gif (kind of a pain) and select “highest quality” when you do so. This has retained dimensions for me.

Problem is, you can’t batch them all and select “highest quality” so maybe consider working on that as well, Adobe.

Hope this helps!

I'm having this same problem as well, except mine are still not the right size when I download them one by one. It seems to be scaling them up or down, depending on the quality selected. This is a huge problem as the platform I'm trying to upload them to cannot do it if the size is incorrect.

Hi @romanctp, welcome to our Adobe Express community, and thanks for raising this!

I've shared it internally with the team and will get back to you once we have more information on the issue! Until then, please follow the workaround you figured out for downloading files.

Best!

It has been 8 months and still nothing new? I just notice I have the same problem today. Adobe Express exported wrong size that I set on the design set.

Dropped a possible solution above. Hope that helps!
