Blur video effect not working

Hi folks!

Somehow the blur effect – whether it's set to "in", "loop", or "out" – is not working as it should; nothing happens at all. Previously, the blur effect worked just fine in my video edits, but suddenly today, while editing, I can't get any blurring to appear – whether I'm using a video from my device or a stock clip.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Interestingly, one of my video preview frames does show a blur effect, but when the video reaches that exact section during playback, Adobe reports a technical problem and stops rendering the video. Restarting the app or computer didn't solve the issue, and I tried to apply the video again with 0 results.

Hi!
I tried to solutions you suggested but the problem persists. Somewhow other video animations work just fine but the blurring effect is not wotrking at all.

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about the difficulties. Did you try using the other suggested browsers (Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome) or incognito mode to see if it makes a difference?
